The Idea of Building a Business is Strange to me
Ever since I was a young singer, I had believed that if I did what I loved, the money will follow. And so, I decided, against my mother's will, to major in music in college and follow my passion for singing. As 20 years or so has passed, I am now a full-time singer in a professional singing group earning a regular monthly salary - not bad for a singer. But just like any salary, it's just enough for me and my family to get by. I don't really have extra money or budget to afford a vacation or if the fridge broke down, I would have to borrow next month's budget to replace it. This year I have come to an awakening- I need to make a change, enough is enough.
I'm just so glad that I found WA and affiliate marketing, and I told my mom about it just a couple a days ago. Although I knew her to be a negative person, her reaction shocked me - she said, "I told you not to study music and go down this path before. Now you're in your forties- it's too late!" I went home that night extremely sad and as a tough guy that I pride myself to be, I wept quietly in my son's room while I was accompanying my kids.
Better late than never, I am not the kind of person that gives up easily. I feel very welcomed here in WA and look forward to learning with all the teachers here. I will not give up or be defeated by the frustration in life. I hope someday my story will turn into a great success that encourages and inspires future newcomers here in WA.

Some people are very negative, and unfortunately some times that person is our mother :-( . We must rise above the negativity and do what is right for our children. It's hard, but you have started! You know what is right for you, just stay on that path.
You know, I can understand this completely, because it's so similar to my own experience, but you are here now and there is a great community behind you ready to help.
So long as you keep moving forward, it is impossible for you to not reach your destination. Persevere, work hard (and have fun-- always have fun!) and you will make it.
Success is already yours. You just have to take it.
I'm ready to work hard for this. I switched from SFM to WA, and I love how everything is so down to earth with no marketing gimmicks and exaggeration to flatter its members here. The fact is you have to work hard, just like for anything valuable. Let's support each other down this journey.

My biological father can tear my heart to shreds in seconds. I can relate... believe in yourself.
I've decided that it's impossible and unhealthy to please my mother in order to get her approval. I'm going to do this, not for her, but for the well-being of my family. It's great to know you, Joy!
