So, about Vegas... (Also 2014 in general)

We've seen it all before, and for as long as we can remember.

"This year I'm finally going to....!"

"My new year's resolutions are ..."

There's a universal acceptance that, once you put those goals out there, you've got to stick to them. You've officially brought them into existence and, much like an infant, without the proper care and nourishment, they can wither and pass on just as easily.

So, how do we nourish our resolutions? How do we bring our goals and aspirations to fruition?

Back to the infant analogy, we all have to start with our first steps, and we all have to walk before we can run. Whether your goal is to get back into something that was once a regular pursuit, or start something new entirely, you have to give things time to become natural as you put forth effort each day. It doesn't matter if all you take 15 minutes at the end of your day; once you see the pieces start to come together, that feeling of accomplishment will have you coming back for more and more.

Take myself for example. I joined Wealthy Affiliate about a month ago, and since then I've never really taken advantage of the vast community that resides here. I'd comment here and there, but never really voiced myself here until now. I'm an introspective person; the first to observe and the last to speak in most situations. And in the past month, that's exactly what I've done here.

However, with the coming of the new year, I'd like to change that, and make it known that I am happy to be here, amongst a people striving for better, not only for themselves, but for each other as well. So, consider this the first of many posts you'll see from me. I'll try my best to contribute something of value.

"Hey, you mentioned Vegas!"

Oh yeah, that's right!

Another place I've been expressing my thoughts is, obviously, my own site. I just finished a post about accomplishing your goals, with inspiration from our very own Christina, who we're all rooting for in her quest to find a balance between work and WA. I also touched on all of the excitement surrounding the Vegas. If there was ever a goal to strive for this year, I'd say the 2015 Las Vegas Incentive Program is most certainly towards the top of the list.

It is my hope that we all continue to grow here together, and find ourselves meeting face-to-face next year. Of course, none of us will be able to come back and post about it here, because what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
