And what about passion?

I have to admit I have always admired this kind of people, who comes to work just for work itself - so they were capable to do the work and all that they require is simply the salary. It comes to my mind when my boyfriend told me once he simply goes to work only to earn money. And I always thought myself: God, how he could handle it, how he could spend so much time at work and still being motivated - are money really so strong motivator?

Maybe is the answer yes, but..this is not the option for me... What is worst that almost nobody trusts me on that...

Honestly most of the time I cannot work like that, I cannot live my life this way - I believe it would be colourless - in my case. Of course, sometimes there is the time you want to just lay down, read a book or just watch some movie and let the reality go around you without any interaction from your side. But the really important spheres of my life I cannot handle without passion e.g. I cannot go to work just because of money, but because I have great colleagues there, the job I do make sense to me. Money level - yes, of course, but this is simply not the strongest motivator.

When I have started with the affiliate marketing I was very curious about what I am able to create and whether I would keep motivated until some first earnings come. They just did not (I am here for one month only), but every time I look on the work I have done I feel so motivated, I feel I have passion for what I have come up with and this is the strongest motivation for me.

That´s why it would never work for me to start with a niche I do not have passion for, just because someone earned a lot of money on it, it would never be the strongest motivator unless I would have the passion for it.

So the question for your guys - do you feel passion for what are you working on? What is the biggest motivator for you in relation to the niche you are working on every day? Is it really only the money or anything else - e.g. life mission or some funny stuff or/and escape from reality?

Anyway, have great sunny days!

Bye Renata

I have a passion for my niche. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to spend most of my free time on my site. I'd be bored.

Thank you for your kind comment, the same is valid in my case.

We are very fortunate to have a place where we can let our passions run free.

You are absolutely right! I have thought during writing the post about those, whose concern is to eat something more than whether they have passion for that or that, I absolutely agree with you on that... So let's be grateful for that, I mean it! Thank you for the great remark!

Hello You do wonder if people on here promoting Wealthy Affiliate are doing it because of the passion, or because of the 50 percent commision.compared to 6 or 7 percent on average with most programs. Interesting point. I like your post

Hello Doug, yes, this is my point actually:) I believe that not only money could keep them motivated. Do they spend a lot of time on creating some website where they promote e.g. WA and without passion for it? I cannot imagine they could be motivated so long, without any income in the start (maybe for years)... still wondering what is behind their motivation beside money.

Thank you anyway for your kind comment and wish you nice sunny days!

Hello and thanks so much for sharing. I once heard a motivational speaker say find what you love doing and you will never work again a day in your life because once you have a passion for something you will be motivated because work becomes play.

I do agree that money also motivates people but I believe that we should be passionate first about what we do and then when the money comes it will make what we love doing more sweeter.

Thank you Norman for your kind insight, I absolutely agree.
Have a nice day!
