If Money Were No Object...
Today I had the opportunity to be taken through an absolutely amazing visualization process and it's this that was the inspiration for this blog.
The only thing I can say about it is simply Wow! It's incredible what our minds are capable of!
It kick started my brain into gear and made me think about setting goals and about the barriers we put in our own way which can actually prevent us from succeeding. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy!
So, I thought,"What if we remove those barriers in our minds? How would that affect our plans and ultimately, our successes."
Join me in this fun session. Throw caution to the wind and let your thoughts run amok - nothing can stop you!
Would you live a life of pampered luxury having your every need met, being waited on hand and foot OR like me, would you need to do something valuable with your time? I just know it would drive me nuts if I didn't have some kind of project on the go to keep me sane!
I'm so interested in this and itching to find out what everyone here would do because at the minute, we all have a goal here in WA don't we? We're all here to learn how to build a sustainable business to provide ourselves with a decent income aren't we.
But what if we didn't have to strive to make money, what would happen to our dreams and goals then? Would they just vanish into thin air? Would it take away our motivation?
Do you think you would still want to learn and improve your skills? Would you still want to help people or would you leave that to others while you live a "dream" lifestyle?
Maybe you have a hobby like golf for instance - would your goals change to wanting to do this all day long?
Please, tell me what you would do!!
I'm fascinated to find out because we have such an eclectic mix of people here in WA. We're all from different countries, have different cultures, traditions and outlooks on life, it will be interesting to find out if for all of this, we still have the same kind of visions.
So come on, fill me with inspiration! Tell me all about how your new life would be if money were no object! Describe it to me in as much detail as you possibly can, leave nothing out.
Let your creative juices flow and your imagination run wild because Anything is Possible if you only let it!
I can't wait to hear from you!
Maria :-)
In fact, a good questions to ask is, "What would you with you life if you had all your needs met?"
What an interesting topic, and your timing is strangely fitting. This was a topic with real weight to me this week. For a split moment there was a chance I was going to come into some serious money, but ultimately it didn't happen. In any case at the time I was wondering, "What if this is real, and I inherit this money?" I asked myself some serious questions. I took stock of my life and itemized how money could improve so many things.
Here's what I knew right away:
1) I'd pay off all of my outstanding debts (simple enough)
2) I'd set aside enough money to care for myself and my family for the rest of our lives. Determine an amount that would ensure that I would never have to worry about it again, and neither would my parents, my husband or our children.
3) I'd find a modest but comfortable home with enough space for the clan to all have "their own space", but not much more space than is needed.
4) Travel A LOT.
5) Continue to write and work and stress about my ranking, and whether my content is any good, because my passion is still what my passion is. The only thing that would change about my work, is that I wouldn't give a hoot or a holler about sales or advertising or PPC. I would still care about ranking and traffic, because if you're a writer, there's merit to being read. If a tree falls in the forest and no is around to hear it......yadayada....
6) I didn't know what #6 was, and still don't. I know it begins like this: "With the rest of all my money I'd....." but I'm not sure how it ends.I'm sure I'd do something charitable with some of it, but it would have to be important enough to come close to the things I love aggressively like what I listed here. I'm sure I'd save some trees and protect the welfare of some animals, and certainly leave a substantial amount for future generations to inherit later on. But, I don't know. Once you've provided the essentials for yourself and your loved ones, how much more does one need?
Is that detailed enough? :-)
Best to you,
Marcel
If money were no object I would still invest in the project I came here originally to create, which is a cognitive thinking and behavior program to better ones thinking to overcome all obstacles in ones way to happiness and success.
This includes changing ones outlook and habits and learned behaviors.
We have used this program in the prison system with awesome results and are in the process of converting it into an online program.
Now, if money were no object of course I could be doing this work on some beach side property......... :)
If money really was almost limitless I suppose doing projects similar to what Bill Gates does would be the ideal, but we can only dream.
