Now just as a disclaimer, I'm no expert when it comes to all this either but I've been here for a good half of about 5 months now. The advice I would give you from my experience would be this:

1. Believe in your niche and dedicate as much time as you can to it. If you're passionate about your niche then this comes easy.

The best way to network would be to start with your close friends and family. Let them know what you're working on. Share your website on Facebook. Don't be shy about it. People will take an interest the more you share your stuff.

Ask for feedback here at WA in the feedback section. You'll have to give some feedback yourself to earn enough credits to ask for feedback yourself but it's good to get a picture of how other's have structured their sites.

4.
Ask for comments in the comments section at WA. You can submit your site posts there for comments. The point of this is that it basically shows Google that you've got some good visitor engagement, especially if you reply to their comments. It leads to better rankings in the long run.

5.
Be patient. This isn't a get rich quick scheme. You've got to make sure you're willing to work diligently for a while. Think about it, no big business like Apple, Microsoft, Nike, Sony, Samsung became amazing successful businesses within the first few weeks of being founded.

An online business is still a business and it'll take time to see results. You can't expect to be earning revenue instantly. It will take time. Personally, I haven't made a dime just yet at WA but I'm working away at my websites and doing the absolute best I can. That's the kind of mentality you need to truly succeed.

Don't be afraid to fail. Failing is the best type of learning. You'll get more experience and you'll learn from experience what works and what doesn't. Sure it's demotivating! Nobody says it isn't!

But it's ultimately up to you how you want to approach failure. Do you want to give in or are you going to try again and apply your new knowledge to new niches that could become raging successes in a few months? It's all down to your decisions

Lastly, don't think of this as a "I'll try this for a month and if it doesn't work out, I'll leave". There's a ton of knowledge you can learn at WA, I'm saying that truthfully because I've learned a lot, and you can't expect to get anywhere with that attitude. A business is a business. Online businesses are no different from regular businesses when it comes to how much perseverance is involved. Stick to your niche and if it doesn't do well after 6 or 7 months, try again. Be persistent and never give in to doubt!
