Build it and they will come! Why I have made the jump to Premium Membership!

I have been sitting on the fence for almost 3 years...

Since writing the original part of my profile on my free WA membership in 2017, I thought I would just tell you all what I have been doing and why I have finally made the jump to Premium membership!

I have been trying to work out how to set up an internet business all on my own. I have been inundated with emails from budding affiliate marketers promising to get my website ranked as no 1 on Google! receiving free traffic...and so on. Shiny object syndrome I think it is called. Everytime I researched these offerings, I would always come across a review about WA and how WA is the best platform to build a business. I must admit when I first learnt all about dropshipping and set up my doggyloversmerchandise website, I thought it would be a walk in the park. Little did I know that my grandiose ideas were far from my reach!

Instead of pursuing my e-commerce site and joining WA, I thought I would set up an Affliate Marketing Dog Blog, Dogrectory.com. How hard could it be? I learnt all about creating a WP website. Blood sweat and tears. Build it and they will come, I thought. Well guess what, now I have a dog e-commerce site and a dog blog affiliate site and neither has made any money to date. I have had to put my dog ecommerce website (shopify) on hold until I can work out how to get suppliers that can deliver goods quickier than the 30 days currently on offer.

I have been frustrated beyond belief and my boyfriend thinks I am bonkers... Which I probably am! His question to me is ' so how much money have you actually made?' with a chuckle...! I must admit I end up chuckling back.. with the answer nadder, nothing. A big fat '0'! Infact, I am in the negative!

But I keep going, ever the optimistic...

All the while I am trying to get these two sites up and running I have this year set up my own Sales and Marketing consultancy business. I am working in the industry I was so keen on escaping. It came about really because of money! Ok, my websites were failing miserably and I had to earn some income so I set up my consultancy as I was asked to do the Sales and Marketing for a set up Helicopter - Private Jet Company. This in turn has enabled me to invest in myself and I have recently invested in a Business Menoring Consultancy programme which will add another bow to my consultancy business.

My passion is actually animals. Dogs in particular... I am currently training for my practitioner's certificate in Whole Energy Body Balance for dogs. It is a hands-on energy healing practice to help alleviate pain points/stress/anxiety in dogs. My idea is to eventually have the time to dedicate myself to this practice. I want to get my other businesses going so I can start making passive income so it will free up my time to concentrate on my passion. I also want to give back and start travelling to dog rescues globally and treat the mistreated dogs so they can look to having a brighter future.

I do get overwhelmed sometimes, as I have taken on an awful lot. However, I have learned a lot in the last 2 years and I know that joining WA, will help me to achieve my goals a lot quicker. I also like the idea of joining a community that is like-minded and has diverse skills and from whom I can learn from. Likewise, if anyone would like to ask me anything about my journey thus far please feel free.

I am still housesitting and I have saved so much money and I have repeat clients now. This has been a godsend in terms of finances. I am now able to invest more in myself. I get extremely frustrated that none of my ventures have shown any promise to date but I battle on and keep going. I know one day the tide will turn and I will be able to reap what I have sown.

Today is the start of the rest of my life...

and I am very excited.
