Now, first off, Hi, hello, it's Rebekah.

So we all have been working on our websites for maybe a few months (newbies) or a few years (10+)

I personally love writing about..anything! I love writing for my tea site and learning about SEO (with the help from my mother), And now I am learning a lot about Medical things; on a side note, I got my CNA diploma and took a class this past weekend, so I am also CPR-certified ๐Ÿฅน

This brings me back to my post. When we write for our sites, we aren't just giving out info that is fun or helpful; it's also budling a network of people who like the same things you do; for example, I run a tea site, so my readers are tea lovers they love anything that has to do with tea.

You might run a, let's say, pet site, so you'll get pet lovers to your site; whatever you own as a site, you are in control of what you post.

We don't just copy and paste to our site from another site. I did this years ago, and my mom told me what I did and how Google will see that and be like uh, uh, nope, this site is stealing info.

So now I write everything out by hand (typing), And honestly, when I do that, I am learning as I look up info, and that is something I love to do: Learn!

Should I add photos to my article?

Yes! You should not only draw the readers to the pops of colors from the photos but there are great places where you can download free stock images.

Like Canva, Dreamstime, Shutterstock, and many more, I personally use Canva because it has more of what I'm looking for.

Can I use AI to write out my articles?

I can't speak for everyone, but I use Khola and Writesonic. Here's the big factor when we use AI, we don't just copy and paste it into Editor.

We edit it through Grammarly, or what I do is on my WordPress page. I'll have Grammarly catch all of that, plus it can tell if something is on another site, so I edit that to sound like my own wording and not the other websites'.

Should I write all of the posts with affiliate links in them?

Well, here's what my mom and I do: we write 3 articles with affiliate links in them (buy this now). And we have 7 info articles that explain what we are talking about.

My mom has taught me so much that I am glad to know now; it's helped me get more to my site. So far, no one has bought anything via my links, but I'm not giving up.

Should I add other links from my site to every article?

My mom has told me, and most everyone here might know this too, that we add links related to the post we are writing like my most recent post was called. Rose Tea Latte, so I linked to my other articles from my site about "tea lattes." which is my main keyword.

So yes, linking to your own stuff and other people's things with the same keyword as you will help you out big time.

So that's what I have learned since starting my website; I would love to hear what tips and tricks you would recommend to me.

Have a great week ahead.

In level 3 of the training, Kyle suggests that we try to limit the number of links in our posts, the reason being is that Google will classify your page as 'spammy' and the page won't rank as well. He suggests product reviews as a platform within which you can post links. Apparently, Google is aligned with this sort of an approach. You are fortunate to have your mother helping you to steer your ship. Sounds like you're getting some good advice

I have CoPilot on my 'Edge' browser. It's amazing. I just adjust the setting to "blog" and the type in a topic and 'boom'. There's the outline for my post! I sift through the material adding the 'human touch' and edit as required. AI makes writing so much more efficient! I have not tried adding links to my or other people's content but I think that's a good idea so I'm going to try it. I agree the links have to be related.

Nice post! Thanks for sharing and hope your having a splenditious day!

Grant

I use Chrome. Will copilot work on my laptop? I should check that out for sure.
As for being spammy, as long as you do three links to other sites (I do that at the end of all my articles), You will be fine.

Hey Rebekah! CoPilot works fine on my laptop but it's a feature of the Edge browser. I think Google Chrome enables ChatGPT but I'm only starting to use Chrome so I'm not that familiar with it. If you ask that question in your search bar you'll likely get your answers. Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Alright thanks!

Sounds like you are very fortunate to have a mother who can help you so much. She has given you some good information.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. If you can find one that conveys your message well, it's a definite asset.

The SEO critique that comes with each post is good...it offers a list of what things you are missing. Internal links is a biggie. External links are also important. I always add from one to four of the latter to each post, and at least one internal link.

See my mom said to put in like 10 external links into each article

I wouldn't do that unless I'd actually used 10 external links to write it. My most common number is four; wouldn't have the time to really research 10 external links. I only use external links if they have been an active part of my research for the post.

Lol, I am the same way, my mom and I made a Google sheet with different links I can use in my articles it's very helpful!

Well done you!

You're welcome; I'm glad you find it helpful!

That's so true. Your Mom, Diane, is correct. She knows! So do we! Thanks for sharing your experience and insights as to what not to do. Then do what youโ€™re supposed to do.

I use Grammarly Go Beta Premium; that's the only AI source I use. It has AI writers like the others who write sonic or koala writers. I did try it out and didn't like it. I prefer Grammarly.

Grammarly Go Beta learns my writing style, and it will complete my sentences for me. Shorten my long run-on sentences. Hemingway Plus editor with Grammarly also works great for me too.

I use Canva Pro too. Great for everything I need. Great for social media as well.

Some complex technical sentences Hemingway AI Plus makes it simple and easy to read. Does your Mom know about this?

Congratulations on getting your CNA diploma and CPR certification. Way to go! I am glad things are going well. Take care until next time. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€

I also have Canva Pro. It's amazing!
As for the other app (Grammarly), I haven't heard of the Go Beta one, I just use the paid version for my stuff. Hemingway is one that my mom had me use when I had to write things for my CNA schooling. It's very helpful!

Yes, Hemingway now has a Plus version for only $10 monthly. If you are a premium member, you can download the Go Beta version app I am using.

Oh cool! I'll bring that up to my mom, thank you for sharing.
