From Meeting My Heroes to Planning the Next Adventure

Whew, hello all, I found time to get back on here after six months of being MIA, and how have I missed you all.
So first off, I am no longer a CNA as of July. I quit my CNA job because there was a lot of being on me with that job. I lost residents with whom I became very close, and then I just got accepted into Steak and Shake (as of right now, I am going to my first night of training, so I'm happy)
But I also came to update you all on how much life has changed.
So I don't know if anyone here has heard of the paranormal show Supernatural. (Look it up if not) But I had saved up money to fly to IL and stay with my brother and his wife, who were 30 mins from the con.
Last month, I traveled to another city, and I honestly didn’t realize how much it would mean to me until I got home. I met people I’ve admired for years, the kind of meeting that feels both surreal and deeply personal.
As a lifelong fangirl, finally standing in front of Jensen and Jared was one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments. My heart was racing, my hands were shaking, and yet there was this calm, too, like everything had lined up perfectly just for that second in time.
I gladly will show my ops here as well below.

If you’ve ever looked up to someone whose work helped shape you — maybe through their art, their kindness, or the stories they told — you know that feeling. It’s not just excitement; it’s gratitude.
Meeting them reminded me of all the nights their show got me through hard days, or made me laugh when I needed it most.
Before the trip, I thought the happiness would come from the photos and the fun of traveling somewhere new. But what’s surprised me most is the peace that came after.
That quiet glow that lingers long after the crowds and the excitement fade away. It’s like my heart learned something: that joy isn’t something you leave behind at the convention or in another city. It’s something you bring home and let reshape the way you see yourself.
Being a fangirl has always been about more than fandoms or favorite characters. It’s about connection to people, to stories, and sometimes, to ourselves.
It’s the reminder that it’s okay to love something wholeheartedly, to let yourself get excited, and to be moved by moments that others might not understand.
And now, I have something new to look forward to at my local convention here in Orlando next year! I’m already planning to go with one of my friends, who is also a massive fan of the show! And honestly, the thought of another weekend surrounded by fandom energy makes my heart so happy.
There’s just something about being in a space filled with people who get it, who share that same spark, that same love for the stories and people that bring us together. Who doesn't judge me for loving and admiring actors i may only meet once in my life.
Coming home, I’ve been thinking about how to hold onto that spark. How do we keep the glow alive once the trip is over? Maybe the answer isn’t to chase the next big thing, but to let the memory keep inspiring us to stay open, hopeful, and a little bit dreamy in our everyday lives.
And yes, I’ll admit it, even a month after my trip, I’m still smiling every time I look at those photos on my wall in my room. My fangirl heart is absolutely whole.
Because sometimes, the things we dream about really do happen. And when they do, they remind us that the world is full of magic waiting to be found if we’re brave enough to go after it.
So now I’ll pass the question to you: what’s the last experience that filled your heart like that? Have you ever met someone or visited somewhere that reminded you of who you are deep down? Tell me in the comments — I’d love to hear your stories and fangirl (or fanboy!) right alongside you. 💫
I'll be back in another maybe six months lol. Have a great day, everyone.
