Ranked on the first page!
Hello WA People! Just thought I would do a little sharing....
For the past few weeks I have been occasionally using rank checkers to see if my website was getting anywhere. I tried using the usual rank checkers that everyone recommends, and none of them were reporting anything higher than one of my posts title keywords ranked around 50th.
So, today, as I have done several times in the past, I just thought I would type in some of my title keywords and see if any of them pop up. And to my surprise I was able to find myself on the first page of the google search for at least 4 different keywords, three different articles!
The rank checkers aren't telling me that, but I saw it with my own eyes! I am super stoked! Not that it has gotten more than 0-5 organic (one day I had 12 : ) ) searches a day, but at least I know i am moving up and that I must be doing something right.
I also found a couple of my articles on the first page of google search that were posted through my google+ account. So keep posting your articles there, it works!
I am not sure what we are supposed to use the "Success Post" for, but I feel like it should be when you feel you have made some success.
Some other posts I have read made it sound like you are supposed to wait till you are rolling in the dough, but to me this is a small success and it might make other people feel hopeful. So I will be clicking the success button.
If that is not what the button is for, please feel free to let me know.
By the way I have been a member for about 10 weeks now, in case anyone was wondering. Keep doing what you're doing everyone!
Feeling Happy and Hopeful,
Jamie

Excellent comment. I am glad you are going in the right direction. I had some mishaps because my wife lost her job. She just got a new one and I am now working on this full time. Best wishes in your success!!
Things are moving slow for me but I tell myself I am making it so long as I keep moving forward. So everyday is a success story. Some smaller then others. Today I published my "about me" post.

Sadly, I think this may not actually be true. I think my home computer is biased. It must know I like my site and it is ranking it higher for me than everyone else.
I just figured it out because I looked up a very broad keyword and I came up on the first page. At first I was really excited, but then I thought it seemed fishy.
I texted my girlfriend and she looked up the same keyword. I did not show up on the first page.
What a bummer. I really thought I was doing well...
