WOW! Youtube works! 46 Subscribers In A Month!
To be honest with you, I'm one of those people that don't like how my face appears in a photo or a video and I hate the sound of my voice, specially if it's recorded. But last year in november 2018, I took the leap of faith and started doing Youtube videos.
It's just like blogging; if you don't start, you'll push it for another time, which I actually did for almost a year. So, for my first video, I recorded and re-recorded (not my face of course) and found it to be so hard!
I remember it taking hours for me to publish the video but at least I did it. I was happy about that.
I practiced a bit more and released a few more videos after that but couldn't continue because of my medical condition; I have vertigo and it makes it hard for me sometimes to work both on my website and focus on recording.
But at the end of May 2019, I suffered a bad reduction in traffic and as such, I started to think that diversifying the source of my traffic would solve the problem, especially since I wanted to avoid the same thing in the future.
So here we are! I don't publish a video a day, although that's what I will ultimately want to be doing. But consistently publishing 4 - 6 videos per month for the past few months is what is giving me those results right now!
I mean, look at all those views! They're not all doing REALLY well, but they do add up! And it looks like people are really liking what I'm putting out there.
I can't believe that I now have 64 subscribers, 46 of which actually subscribed within the past month! Now I regret not getting into Youtube sooner.
Believe me! You might be shy and think that people won't be interested to hear what you have to say. You might think that people will say you sound funny or look a certain way. People might be racist too.
But most people WANT to know what you have to say and most people don't CARE how you look or how you sound because what they're looking for is the information you have to give.
Take my example.
Yes, I still hate the way I look on camera and I still hate the sound of my voice and how I sometimes lag or stammer or can't remember a specific word, but the truth is that you get better with practice.
When I think I've performed satisfactorily, I just go by that and I NEVER listen to how I sound or watch the video to see how I look because I know that if I did, I would never allow the video to remain live.
So I just don't and I just leave it as is.
And even without showing my face much, I've been able to get that many subscribers!
Not only that, but they've also been coming to my website! This is the trend in the past month of how much traffic came to my website from Youtube.
Youtube is really incredible and I really wish that I started sooner. So the message that I want to convey today is NOT to wait to start your Youtube Channel and to pick a day or a few days out in the week to publish your videos, even if you're a newbie!
Don't make the same mistakes that I did because my Youtube Channel and the traffic to my website could have been much better at this point in time if I had started publishing frequently earlier.
In my case, I guess it's better to be late then never doing it at all. But your online business seriously has much to gain and nothing to lose when you incorporate Youtube. Video is becoming the next big way that people browse!
Additionally, Google, Bing and Yahoo even rank videos within their search results. I've found myself on the first page of Google occasionally for both my written review and my video review, bringing me lots of views!
So, there's nothing but good results that can come out of it!

Congrats on your continued success on YouTube.
