Internet marketing offers so much, an income on autopilot, opening communications to many other alike, freedom to do what you want like spend time with your family, less of stress, save on commuting to work and so much more. However getting started and getting it to work can be really hard.

When you first get into this line of business, you put your email address out there looking for information, joining groups and such and the next thing you know, your inbox is full of the next shiny new thing. Offers and promises to back 6 figures in a week, be flying on your own personal jet or buying a house that could be a hotel. It all looks great but you ca’ trust most of it.

Of course you have got a month or so into trying to make at least $1 online just to get some belief that it will work but after you see no profit, you get desperate and start looking at all the new products that are going to make you rich overnight. So now you invest in a few and start trying out their methods and again getting no results.

So now your frustration and desperation levels are up so you are now trying other things you find from Google or Bing searches on how to make money online. It seems all of us get on a PTC site, you know the ones where you fill out surveys for hours on end and you might make $5 to $10 if that at all. You start paying for programs that lie to you or just way too hard to figure out.

All you really want is just a little proof that what you are trying to do really works. If you had that small fragment of proof, then you are just sure it will turn your devotion and dedication around and you will then be a success.

You have to realize that all of the above comes from panicking, desperation and losing faith. All of which is losing focus. Keeping focus with not only internet marketing but anything in life is the key to success. If you are a newbie to all this, there are so much stuff to learn in the beginning that you have to realize during this learning period, money will not be made.

There are communities and groups that are real that will help you succeed but no matter what community you join or program you pay for, all of it requires your focus. Ignore all the shiny new things that pop along, they are there to get you to lose focus so you can spend all your money on their junk that usually doesn’t work.

Keep in mind that through your journey of staying focused is that it is a learning process. Not only of the tools you will need to learn to use and learn where to find them but it is more importantly learning the process of how it works. In reality the process is fairly simple and people get lost looking for that magic shortcut or an overly complicated that is going to beat the system.

Keep it simple, learn how the process works on a higher level and then start learning how to improve each step. You have to give it time and understand that money isn’t going to happen overnight but in time will. You just don’t give up and keep trying.

The best advice is to stay away from the newest and latest thing. Internet marketing is the same process it has always been. SEO rules can change and some other little things but the main process has been the same. So don’t listen to the hype on how someone has found a loophole or has cracked the Google code, it just isn’t so.

Believe in yourself, never give up and be patient. Stick to a plan and do not give up on it unless for a fact the plan won’t work. Make sure the plan is one that makes real sense, do your homework and keep in mind that the millions are years away. Keep your dreams realistic and remember, the best way to be a great success online is to help others, offer something good to others, the success will follow.

If you have ever had a customer service type job, you are trained that the customer comes first. It seems this way of thinking is falling out of this generation but it is a practice that should continue. If you under-promise and over deliver, you will always have customers and those customers know other potential customers and the cycle begins. If you are just out for the buck, you will more than likely be passed by.

Care about what you are promoting by putting your customer first. Don’t come off like a car salesman, come off like you are a friend that is passing along the info that helped you. So get your site ready for people to access with ease and speed, write your articles and plan how you want to get traffic.
