just curious how my ranks suddenly went from like 46000 ish to 6500, idk if anyone could explain this as I never personally fully understood the ranking system.
Hi rCompact, This is how I understand it: when we help other members with questions or like their comments or even follow them that has to do with our rank.
Remember that isn't as important as building our business. Writing content for our website (s). That is what is important building a business that we can have financial freedom.
I hope that this helps you out in understanding what rank is.
So if you liked a comment or helped by answering with question (s).
or just helping others by giving advice or even giving advice.
Mary
That's a WA internal ranking system as the others have noted. However you should always focus on your websites and business first, and once you have a viable business you may return and help other folks here.
Your ranking is based upon your activity within WA this includes all your do here.
Also note ranking at WA is internal and has no bearing on what you do on your website.
Plus what others do as well so ranking will go up and down. Here is a post from Kyle that explains more about rankings. Boosting Your WA Ranks! Become an Ambassador at Wealthy Affiliate! Hope that helps

The ranking algorithm has had problems for some time, but I believe they have just rolled out a new code base, so hopefully your new rank is the correct one.
Are you sure? Mine is still broken. It does not equate to the effort I put in here, though it is not important to me.
You're nailed to number 5, Abie. I imagine 1, 2 and 3 cannot be overtaken and number 4 is a pretty active member too.
Though certainly no one is as active as you in Live Chat.
And while I understand it's a new code base, I don't know what changes were made.
Or even if it's bug free.
I think you might be right on the last one, Phil--especially while they are still making ongoing changes to the platform.

Hi There,
Helping others in your spare time gives you a break from your regular WA work and also helps you learn too as you search for answers. Some of the answers you may know others not. There is enough content onsite to post help from the magnifying glass search area that newbies often don't know about.

More specifically, tell me, : What kind of site you made, when was this, how long it took you before you starting to make real money from it? I want to hear all about your stor
My advice to you is that you should be prepared to stay in for the long haul.
Follow the OEC certification course step by step, and then massively implement what you have learned. Wait for the money to trickle in at first and at some point, the dam will burst and you will experience a flood.
I haven't ventured into Affiliate Marketing! I work on promoting my own books, my friend! I have made a lot on eBay though over the years.

The first thing I did was concentrate on what customers wanted and get a brand for my website.
The second thing I concentrated on was getting traffic to my website and to keep on writing unique articles to publish.
Hope this helps

A niche is something that is chosen by each individual because it is their passion. There is no way of comparing people, their niches and success because there are so many variables.
Here are some success stories you can read. But remember each person and what they do and how they apply the training is unique to them.

Abie got you covered Blake with all the success stories. Some can take up to several months or more via Google for ranking. Many are using YouTube and other social media like you are doing while waiting for Google, Bing, and Yahoo to rank articles. The training teaches us to keep writing content. Some use a capture page like an email autoresponder to capture emails and use email marketing. If you follow the training it should help you.
No two people or two niches are the same; it depends on the focused niche you choose, the content you write, the choice of keywords, and how well you understand the process. However, I have known folks to earn their first sale in two weeks, others in three months, and more so in a few more months. 29 Wealthy Affiliate Success Stories (Make Money WORLDWIDE!)
