How We Roll in 2024
This article will highlight things trending in 2024. Let's explore TikTok, SEO, authenticity, email marketing, AI, and video content trends.
TikTok: Potpourri of Relevancy
TikTok started out as a dance app for kids but quickly shifted as older generations joined. Now, over 40% of users are 40+, while only 25% are under 19.
I've learned about math shortcuts to help with payroll, better income tax practices, special recipes (macrobiotic, vegan, whole foods), crochet patterns, and more. It can be helpful for increasing and improving your knowledge.
However, there is also inappropriate content for minors - risky behaviors that I wouldn't want my kids exposed to. Overall, I'd give TikTok a C+. It's a mixed bag of useful information and nonsense.
SEO Shifts to Focus More on User Experience
In 2023, SEO moved beyond just keyword stuffing. Now it focuses more on the full user experience.
Google's evolving algorithms care more about whether your content answers people's questions. With AI summarizing content more, Google grabs key info instead of just showing your whole page at the top.
This may hurt creators' incentives to make great, ranking content. But with AI providing easy access to info, people will likely search more for personalized experiences - "how I" instead of just "how to."
Lending a personal touch to your content and SEO is a great tactic. I have lifelong struggles with my weight and feel I'm an expert on diets - what works and what doesn't, since I've tried them all.
The key is committing to lifestyle changes, not just following a temporary diet. Preparing healthy lunches instead of fast food makes a huge difference long-term. Sharing my personal experience can help people relate.
Emails Get More Personalized
Gone are the boring, generic newsletters. 2023 demands hyper-personalized email content tailored specifically to your subscribers' interests and preferences.
I take a casual tone in my emails while still providing value. I'm known for being honest, not overly formal. People want friendly emails that feel like they're written just for them - not sleep-inducing walls of text.
A reason to open and read my next email helps build loyalty. Boring, overly sales-y language just pushes people to unsubscribe.
AI: Marketer's New Best Friend
In 2023 AI graduated from buzzword status into an indispensable marketing assistant. From chatbots to personalized ecommerce, AI is here to stay.
I firmly believe AI writing tools boost creativity versus replace it. With practice, you can engineer prompts to enhance brainstorming.
Instead of one weekly article, AI lets me create 3 daily - a huge time saver. I feed it existing content then ask it to build on that. AI jumpstarts most projects for me now.
Some see AI as cheating or job-stealing. But it still needs human guidance at this point. AI generates, humans create strategy and feed it productive input.
I use AI video editing (Opus.pro) to repurpose content faster for my agency clients and myself. It shaves off small amounts of time that add up.
Video Content Continues Growth into 2024
If video seemed big in 2023, next year takes it up a notch. Time to get those cameras rolling!
Human connection plus decreasing blog importance equals video as most valuable content form.
Our research shows video will be 82% of consumer internet traffic by 2025. Video streaming will comprise 91% of all traffic.
Huge audiences consume video on mobile devices. Video content is more crucial than ever to engage those viewers. Shoppers click video ads 27 times more than static banner ads.
Marketers cannot avoid video creation and should optimize for it. Video boosts customer engagement, brand awareness, and loyalty. Our research shows video ads see 12X more shares than image-only ads.
To make video more impactful, use personalization. Over 80% of people say a personalized video grabs their attention more. AI can help tailor video content to specific audiences.
Augmented and virtual reality offer exciting possibilities too. Their market is estimated to hit $109 billion by 2026. Incorporate these to create unforgettable event experiences.
Video marketing is essential for audience connection and business growth. Keep pace with the latest to craft content that resonates.

Authenticity Wins Marketing
Transparent, authentic marketing continues gaining traction over sales-y language. It's all about being real and relatable.
People seek authenticity and truth - they want your honest story, including past challenges and struggles. What personal pain points have shaped you?
The more genuine details you provide, the more audiences will relate and listen. Vulnerability and honesty build connections.
This doesn't mean oversharing private trauma publicly. It means focusing less on projecting an image of perfection, more on aligning your message with ideal clients' beliefs.
If your beliefs resonate with your audience, that's powerful marketing.
Data Privacy Steps Into Spotlight
With people more concerned about data usage, expect bigger emphasis on privacy and secure practices in 2024 - including for AI adoption. Ethics matter more to consumers making purchase decisions.
Innovative Interaction: The Future of Digital Marketing
Think AR, VR, everything immersive. Tomorrow's digital marketing must create interactive wow-factor experiences.
I'm personally embracing AI already within my own brand - using AI image generation, focusing branding on tech innovation, jumping on trends early.
This reflects my identity: trying new things even when others doubt them, like being early to TikTok. The future favors the bold who don't cling to "safe" old ways.
Rather than resisting innovations like VR, creatively apply them to make your ideal audience's next wow-worthy interactive experience.
The Only Constant is Change
As we enter 2024, remember the sole digital marketing constant is change. But have no fear - I'll keep you updated on each twist and turn ahead.
Here's to closing an epic year and starting an even more game-changing one. Bring it on, 2024! Let's innovate fearlessly.

Hi there,
Thank you for sharing this great post. First-hand experience, does this mean that you must have the product or service you are promoting in order to rank on Google? What if we don't own it? No change of ranking?
Hi there, Simone.
No, you don't have to have the product or service to rank on Google. However, your review will pack more punch if you show that you have experience with the product or service. You can also interview someone who has the product or service.
The main thing is to have an overview and an outline similar to the following:
Brand or Model:
Product Dimensions:
Specifications:
Item Model Number:
Department:
Date First Available:
Manufacturer:
Size:

Best Sellers Rank:

Also, be sure to have a section for:

Hi Rachele, thanks a lot for your answer. It really helps :) I ask this because I plan on creating a website about travel and was a little skeptical.
I am looking forward to 2024, 2023 has been a difficult year for my business, as I suffered some illness, but I am hoping to start fresh with all the help I can acquire, I am reaching out to you as well Rachele, thank you so much for your motivation.
Hi there, Lamatha.
My prayers are with you as we approach the coming New Year. I know you have the willingness and determination to come back strong.
We have to listen to our bodies when they tell us to slow up and take it easy.
We all have had our share of setbacks. The main thing is stay the course and never give up, right?
Rachele.

Hi Rachele
It’ll be interesting to see what happens when AI becomes able to generate written content and video from curated data sources and informational ontologies without human intervention.
What will prevent AI from starting and populating its own websites and video channels?
Fascinating times ahead! 😎
Rock On! 🤘
Frank 🎸
Heya Frank.
This sounds like a scene from a Sci-Fi that comes true. I wouldn't put anything pass AI. Just from my interaction with it, the sky is the limit.
The capabilities that it has are crazy incredible. I swear, I feel like I am working with a real person at times, no joke. AI probably will create its own SMART communities, who knows.
Just as long as it doesn't harm anyone, I am all for AI big time. By the way, this is something to commiserate as online business owners., don't you think?
We haven't seen nothing yet? Before you know it, they will have their own AI institutions, websites, channels, and satellite stations. They will probably have their own calendar year as well.
Please keep us in the know. We need all the brainiacs, nerds, engineers, biomed technicians, and neuroscientists that we can muster up. AI is not messing around, my friend.
Rock on!🥰
