Do you ever have writer's block?
"Some days I fear writing dreadfully, but I do it
anyway. I've discovered that sometimes writing
badly can eventually lead to something better.
Not writing at all leads to nothing." ~ Anna

As a hypnotherapist I would suggest that if you can take a few minutes to relax and visualise yourself writing fluidly, completing the piece you are writing and the good feeling you get having completed it, eventually your mind will believe this as your experience and your writing will flow more readily. :)

I am a firm believer in doing the Morning Pages, part of The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron. Every morning, write three pages, long-hand, without stopping, never stopping to think, edit or revise. Your pen or pencil should never stop. If you get stuck, just keep writing the same word over and over again until something comes. The point behind this exercise is two-fold: first, to get rid of that nasty critic in your head, and secondly to just get rid of all of the "clutter" floating around in there. Very quickly, you will realize that a lot of good material comes of these pages. Some of my short story ideas have been a result of writing my morning pages and once you get in the habit of writing them, they become hard to quit!

Yeah then and I need to put my hat on. My dad says my IQ is higher when I have my hat on. Sometime writing and not thinking will surprise you what ends up on the page.
