Starting A New?
Hi guys,
So I know its been a long time since I last worked on my site. It's even been a long time since I last communicated with anyone here at WA but that doesn't mean that I've forgotten everyone. I've just recently checked out my site and I feel that the content that I have on it is a little stale and outdated at this point even though its unfinished. I also don't feel the same way I once did about my chosen niche anymore because I let so much time go by.
It's not that I meant for this to happen but like a lot of people my busy life once again got in my way. I'm trying to get back into this but I'm beginning to think that starting over and finding a different niche one that I'm perhaps more passionate about would be a better course for me. If I start a new site I will delete the one that I have currently. I have some ideas for a new site so her is a few of them. I like electronics so I was thinking about researching a niche in that but I also heard that content producers are getting sick of YouTube and migrating to other platforms because their sick of the monopolies trying to censor everything through YouTube. I thought that I could start a new video streaming site like YouTube but with out all the censorship but I also heard that a site like that would be difficult with hosting because it will require a lot of server space which could be pretty expensive. So this is what I'm asking the community, should I continue working on the site I already have? Should I start a new site with a different niche? if I do start a new site would it be better to try something with electronics or video streaming? I'm also thinking about letting everyone review my current site even though its unfinished just so I can get some opinions. Let me know what you guys think in the comments.

Having been here for 3 years and having 3 sites, I understand what you are saying. I thought I was passionate about my first one but after the initial buzz I fell by the wayside. I came back a year later with my new passion - I fell by the wayside. I came back last year with my next passion - I fell by the wayside more due to life events going on last year than anything else.
I came back last month and I've returned to the last one. It is my passion. I can talk about the topic under wet cement, to the point others eyes glaze over! I think that is what has made the difference this time. I have so much more content on there. I have pages of planned content to get written and put up. I am passionate about sharing it with others. I have created my social media accounts this time. I am sharing it on my personal Facebook.
I think for me it is about the passion and wanting to make my hobby of about 25 years my life. I want to live and breathe it. I want to tell others.
So my suggestion to you is if you don't like your niche and you have another niche that you are passionate about then just change! I'm not regretting doing that. You can always just hide your current site as a possible future project. Anyway good luck with the journey!
Thanks for the feedback.
