One Month With WA!
Hey everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!
Today marks exactly 30 days since I first came over to wealthy affiliate. This is my first post so I'll just mention some background and my experience so far as well as, what I am looking forward to accomplishing with WA.
Why I Want Success
For me its simple, success gives you OPTIONS! There is nothing worse then having to settle for something you don't want because you can't afford what you really want.
Its not about buying the most expansive cars or the biggest houses or the jewelry, no... its about having the OPTION to do so if I wanted to.
Success is different for everyone. For me is being able to provide for myself and most importantly, for my family a live style that they have never experienced before. I've made up in my mind that I will not settle for anything less. The online world is calling my name and I'm diving (head first) right into it!
Why An Online Business
I can (& will) continue my education (I'm an engineer major) and get my degree. The problem with that (In my eyes) is that how much hours a week am I going to have to work to make $100,000 a year? 40? 50? 60? The idea of trading hours for money does not sit well with me.
Success would be having the freedom to spend time with my family and travel the world with them. Something you can't easily do when your working for someone else and are working 40+ hours a week.
When the idea of having an online business came into mind, I was blown away.
I can be my own boss? I can work from anywhere in the world with a laptop and an Internet connection? I can pick which and how many hours I work? Where in the world do I sign up for this!!
I started my research of this 'un-explored' world back in April. I found the Internet full with scams offering many different ways to get 'rich quick'. I was very skeptical of any programs that I came across and I did my research before I pulled out my wallet. Unfortunately, I still fell for those scams. It wasn't until I heard about WA that my faith in this online world was restored.
So Far In WA
A month in and I have my own website on my own domain. It has been indexed in Google and has attracted minimal traffic to my Amazon affiliate link (8 clicks as of 7/21). I have not made any conversions but thats to be expected. No one said online marketing gives you 'overnight' success! And if anyone does, RUN AWAY!
I've created quality content and I plan on averaging 3 posts per week. I never thought I'd be writing this often (during my summer break!), but I am absolutely enjoying every second of it because I know I'm working on MY business.
I believe in WA and I believe it will help me reach my goals. The community here is awesome. People are always helping each other out and I really like that I can have any questions answered within minutes!
Success whether you know it or not, is very Intensional and deliberate. It does not happen by accident. You have to develop a BURNING DESIRE for your goals and you have to spend every day thinking and striving towards those goals.
It may not be easy, but it is real simple. YOU have to really want it!
