Revisiting Cornerstone Content
Hello Folks,
It has been a couple of weeks since I have started my Google Adwords campaign. While I see a lot of "clicks" on my landing pages, the conversion value remained very low.
So, I investigated a bit, and saw that my cornerstone content is not in order!
Cornerstone Content?
These are the pages in your website that you want people to visit more, as these pages give you more value. Essentially, you direct your readers to affiliate links and other pages through these pages. I have two in my website:
In short, these are the key improvements I made:
1. Outdated Content
Some content in these posts read 'old'. For example, it would be wrong to say "It has been only two weeks at wealthy affiliate for me". I found many instances like this in these pages.
2. New Affiliate Links
Through the knowledge I gathered through WA, I learned that almost every company out there has an affiliate program. So, I was able to add a couple of new affiliate links to my pages.
3. Language
This is quite obvious though. You will keep finding language errors in your content. You may feel certain words are not so appropriate nor attractive.
4. SEO fine-tuning
It is not easy to get things right at the first time. So, it is crucial that we keep our content web-friendly by making little tweaks like changing the order of wordings in the headings, etc.
So, I'd say keep improving folks!

interesting post Ravi..you are heading in the right direction. Had a look at your website..interesting read..it is quality stuff Ravi, there are a lot of different things to see and people might get a bit confused I think..you might be better of to have just a main one on the home page and have the others on the sidebar...under a category.....apart from that it is excellent..You thoughts on niches is spot on because my niche is not a money making niche..lol...wishing you well..
