What is your worth!
Who decides your worth, you, your boss, or is it fate? Does the Universe decide what you are worth?
Work hard, do well study hard, and be diligent and persistent and I will come and let you know if you're deserving of a good life. Your worth will determine if you are really deserving of praise, a Promotion, a Higher salary or to keep your job, your home? While we are at it are you deserving to be living.
Who decides this?
From an early age, you are conditioned to conform to society and to yield when it suggests your worth. You are not worth becoming a dancer. You are too tall, too short, fat, skinny. How many times have you had that?
You are not worth the success, give up you won't succeed, this is not for you. People like you don succeed in this. Who are you to decide? If we listened to this, we would have not had half the chance to succeed. Gladly we did not listen!
The voice at the back of your mind.
It is unavoidable the messages start taking root in your head and you start believing the evaluation. It is not easy to ignore the edge to stop because you are not worth the time and the effort. You will never amount to anything. Eventually, you believe this and you are doomed and without hope. If you are still asking who gave anyone the right to decide on your worth. Know that it is you!
If we allow for things to be done to us. we give permission to others to do the same. If we refuse then it is clear we do not want that. And by doing that we are saying you have no right to do that, to think that.
Every moment is an opportunity to turn it all around.
When you have given all sorts of permissions to be treated badly you have fortunately not sealed the fate that you should be treated this way for the rest of your life. The minute you are aware you can and you should change the course of your life. Give value to your existence by saying enough is enough. You are worth whatever you decide, and let no one think differently. It is liberating to find out your worth.
Free yourself and find it out and know, you are worth more than the next person thinks you are. Calibrate your existence to your own perspective and do not sell yourself short, you are worth a googol dollars.

Do not sell yourself short. You have so much potential untapped in you. Hardly has any human being used up to 10% of his God-given potential! All you have to do do is awaken the giant within you. Do not allow the negativity get you. " You are more than a conqueror!"
Your post is quite inspirational. I was very fortunate in that I had parents who taught me from an early age to value myself, but most importantly to value others. As a kid, if I made fun of a job for example, my dad would tell me that a person was doing the job so I didn't have to do it so I should thank them. I have always felt that if I did the best I could I was of value.
Wish I had bosses that had your upbringing. It seems these days the value of workers is close to nothing. Our best is just an underpaid commodity worth whatever the bosses say it is worth.
Basically, any figure the boss decides goes.

In a lot of circumstances, I’ve had to be confident of my value regardless of what salary or pay seem to be. My personal value is different from the wage need to survive.
I love this sentiment - speaking life into ourselves, I am taking this and running with it.
Yeah Ntlhane we are constantly faced with negative noise. If you tune it to it you will get distorted messages and lose you way. The smart thing is to change frequency so as to operate on pure positive vibrations. This will improve your chances of success.

Good blog Rat. My daddy says I'm not worth a dime, mama says she wouldn't give 2 cents for 1 just like me, and my children say I'm priceless. Personally ill take cash anyway. Learn to like yourself. No one needs you more than you need yourself. Yee Haw
That sounds great. It sounds like your parent's sense of worth for you comes from a very loving space for that to be said to your face.
Our children will always see the greater value in us until it is time to leave the nest. You will be "Lucky" if they still visit. Well with Corvid they might never leave you. Either way, you have love from your Kids.
I prefer to be named Ntlhane, It takes a while for me to allow anyone to refer to me as "RAT". It is reserved for those I know they don't mean it in a malicious way, and as of now, I do not know.

It sounds like your family is very close to you. It is great when many families are broken to still witness close families grounded in Love.
My parents are still alive though I do not get to see them often. My wife does not see eye to eye with my Mom. I have 4 kids, 18, 13, 11, and 4. GBBG. They have not seen their grandparents in a long time because of this. I am glad you have a great relationship with your grandchildren.
