Being Unique - It is not a curse!

Being Yourself should never be a curse. I find that many times people will do their best to make you feel worthless for being who you are. This is the time when you should recognize that you are different.

Your difference affects the people around you, it might have a positive effect on those around you and that might scare some of the people who are too proud to accept that you are great, in a negative way. They will make you feel as if it is a curse being Unique.

No more doubts!

Have you ever doubted yourself, found yourself wondering if being you were wrong. Just because it made the people around you uncomfortable. And then you try and find ways to hide who you are just to appease their pride.

It is heartbreaking to see a strong individual having to roll themselves up into a small nothing so that they feel insignificant just because they made somebody feel bad about who they are. Because you are better than who they are.

In many instances, it's not even because someone is better than you. It is just your ego, it is better to make somebody feel worse about themselves than to accept that you may be jealous. So that you can feel good about yourself.

Pride has made people hurt angels, pride has made us try and shut down powerhouses only to make ourselves feel more important.

  • Are you feeling worthless?
  • Are you feeling as if you don't deserve your position?
  • Are you feeling you should not be where you are right now?

If you look closer, does that feeling come from within or is it superimposed upon you by those who feel a little bit less about themselves because of your success?

If that's the case, I urge you at this moment to recognize that you are unique. There is no other you on Earth. Rise to the occasion and show the world who you really are. Show them who you are!

There is no time for making yourself small, just to please Mr./ MS. Boss. It is time to recognize that your time is now.

Stand-up take charge, apply your uniqueness to its full potential and be the best that you can be, Fearless, intelligent, creative, and a superstar.

Raise the Unique.

A child walked into my class crying. She said I am worthless, I am not good at anything, I always get things wrong, what's wrong with me?

It is a hard world out there. How could a child in grade three be feeling this way? We set outside for a while I asked her to look up the word unique. I explain what the word meant. She still wouldn't see what I was showing her.

I ask her big brother to look up the word for her at home and read it to her. I'm still not sure if they have gone through the exercise, but a grade 3 felt like it was the end of the world, because she was not able to do an exercise in class.

Our children go out each and every day to face this aggressive world and as parents, we need to start teaching from a very early age the importance of our uniqueness.

Otherwise, somebody out there is teaching our children that they're not good enough, that is why a 30-year-old will fold under somebody else who tells them they are not good enough.

This is a lesson that was learned from a very early age it might be difficult to unlearn when you are older. Let's make an effort to recognize our own uniqueness, our children's potential, our own potential to bring good into the world and nurture it from an early stage.

And to those who crush and try and kill the spark of genius in our own uniqueness, shame on you. Don't let your pride destroy something special.

Let's all celebrate our uniqueness and give the opportunity to those who are different to explore the difference to their best potential.

Which one are you?

Are you the one who crushes the dreams of the special, of the unique? or are you the one who recognizes The Unique and help them to greatness?

Thank you for taking the time to read. Please Like, Share, and Comment.

That is a sad story about the 3rd grader although my 1st grader grandson has said similar things. I'm not sure where those thoughts come from at such a young age. It's troublesome though.

Many moons ago, someone called me sui-generis. I had no idea what it meant so I looked it up. I'm not sure how he meant it, but I took it as a compliment and I'm proud of it. We each have a purpose to fulfill that NO ONE else can so we HAVE to be unique or what's the point right?

~Debbi

You are One of a kind Debbie and you are right to take it as a compliment. All we have is our purpose and we have to be ourselves to fulfill it.

Thank you for the share.

Thanks for this great post Ntlhane. Everyone of us was created by Almighty God as unique individual, We don't have the same DNA. Even our level of intellect is not the same. But everyone has the ability to contribute something to the society where we belong for the common good.

Beautiful darling. This is sad how children are being hurt by parents. This happen with me. Only child, fighting house drunk and they ridiculed me most my life cause they hated each other. But first im a child of the Lord and was taught gifts, tricks, n things in Bible at early age by an aunt. So as I grew, Honor thy mother n father, one commandment with a promise. But there a clause to the promise, my parents thought they ruled. Lol Not the clause says Fathers Do not provoke thy children into anger. Hum, dont have me then mistreat me, cuss me, rape me ,beat me ect. You get the picture. And vengeance is all His, he will prove it. I have temper because always defending myself. Lol Now I get to enjoy, with, and participate in the Karma. My dad is scared going old all alone just like I told him at 16. Now all his meaness haunts him. He will call at 2 am, so I reversed phsyco on him. Hey daddy are those skeletons in your closet bothering you again? Lol.. 2 weeks.and I revealed to him, now your time to kick a$$ like always did, show skeletons whos boss now. Lol He stopped that cause I'd make fun of his narcissistic behavior. My mother is perfect. THEY don't like me cause I had a carrier, a family, business, farms and success, been in 2 magazines, traveled, made $ and spent hell out of it. and I excluded them. How you like me now? They worked9 to 5 30 years and both have lost everything.n These children most will not overcome only crimes and drugs so sad. Only those who realize how unique I am and what a life I've lived, made them jealous. Im working on building me a new house for retirement by the lake. What can you do? Pray for them

It sad how those hurting the unique end up paying for their hurt. I focus on how Unique you came out of all that. Share your experiences in a way that will free others. And let them see their positive power in their uniqueness.

I am thankful you found your strength. The is more strength in the forgiveness of those who now see and acknowledge your uniqueness.

Power to you Lisa, and all unique beings out there. All the best with your house by the lake.

Awesome Mile On.... and I can relate. I think a lot of people can. "A snake and a stone" some parents give to their children. I'm still waiting a little for the "karma", but it's coming. :)

Trust me its coming, be patient have faith.

Karma comes, ladies. It is not willed. We are in a good space. Let karma go where it wills and let's enjoy our great blessings.

Ntlhane

That’s a great message, Ntlhane.
:-)
Richard

It's a blessing, that is as long as you are not hurting someone. I like unique or flowers would all look the same. :)

Sure Richard, Thank you.

That is true, Denise. We should not be labeling that is where the challenge starts. Remove labels and accept each and every individual for what they can bring to life.

Remember we are all small pieces of a greater whole.

This type of thing has destroyed huge companies. I've seen it; and a couple of times I actually warned the company. Guess what? They went out of business or today are in such poor shape they are not thriving and will eventually fade away. It is imperitive not to take things for granted; it's a shark tank out there, and WA is
#1 on Forbes. A small and petty thing can destroy a company. I know; I watched a huge investment company in Las Vegas have some help on the way down because there were attempts to destroy it from the inside. It was gone. "That's just the way it is." I always liked that song. :) Sad as it is.... gotta be careful Ntlthane. :) Never know someonen intentions unless you can see their face.

That is quite interesting, Denise. I try not to trust but it is a challenge with the virtual reality we are living in.

What happened? What did you warn them about? why did they go under?
