Why not throw in the towel?!?
.. because that would be the easy way out, of course.
I've been with WA for a little over a year. I finished the Online Entrepreneur Certification course earlier this year, which I was extremely happy about, because I was able to earn back most of the traffic I lost.
It's still not a large amount of traffic, but still better than nothing!
Interestingly enough, and I didn't expect this, but I got an email from Amazon last February saying that they had released payment - it was the first time I got one of those emails, so I went to check my dashboard on Amazon.. low and behold, I made some money!
It's not a large enough amount to receive a check in the mail, but it's still better than nothing!
I will admit that I experienced a great amount of lull in consistency - I haven't been reading posts on WA, let alone been actively writing content on a weekly basis. It got to the point that I was only doing 1 article every 2 weeks.
Recently I've been a little better, though - I'm back to 2 articles a week, which I am happy about. And with some goal setting, I'm excited to have consistent direction on what and how much content to aim for.
It's still not the amount of content that could possibly increase my traffic, but it's still better than nothing!
I recently started implementing Native ads from Amazon, which I find pretty cool because it presents recommendations based on what I write about; I've placed it on product reviews mostly, just to supplement what I write.
It's not generating as many clicks and conversions as I'd hope for but it's still better than nothing.
All in all, I'm at a point where I've a lot to be thankful for in WA, but for some reason I still feel like I am on the cusp of breaking through and reaching the kind of success other people here have attained. I do know that there's a great deal of patience and effort day in and out in order to get there, so I'm gonna keep trying.
So, for those who are new and are in the same boat as me.. results will definitely vary, and it could take a while to get to the amount of traction you aspire in your niche business.. but keep going, because it's definitely still better than nothing.

Thanks Jude. That's what I keep telling myself so that I don't feel like getting ahead of myself. :)
