Course 4, Done!
It took a while but I got there! The journey through Course 4 was a long one, but a meaningful one. There was a lot of good and bad that happened, and all of which I chalk up to experience.
The bad that happened:
- As of this writing, I lost a good amount of traffic in terms of users and pageviews due to not being able to constantly update content.
- I still have no sale, and Amazon gave me a heads up about closing my account if I don't make a sale in 90 days.
- I slowed down a lot during Course 4 because of how things got hectic at work and in an effort to pace of sharing content.
There was definitely good that happened, too:
- I would not have lost traffic if I didn't have traffic to lose to being with. Yes, at one point I had reached the 1,400 pageview mark.
- Using Jay's guide on conversion paths, I've had an increase of traffic for product-review pages from 5 to more than 12 in a single month.
- I've gotten to use WA's comment feature to increase my traffic. I make it a habit to use this once a week so I can continue farming and sending out comments.
- My Pinterest account went from 17 followers to 57 in a month in a half. Thanks WA folk for really leveraging Pinterest for sharing content.
- Did my first tutorial!
I look back and I realized that a lot of what had worked (and similary, not worked for me) really had to do with the amount of activity I put in - I'll admit, I've slowed down this past month. But going into Course 5 (and through other WA-related resources), I'm going back to setting aside 2-3 hours a day in order to attain my goals.
I'm not depressed about the bad that happened, I think we all need bad things to happen in our lives so we can get better and appreciate the good. So I think I'm gonna go turn my negatives (loss of traffic, zero sales) into positives heading into this month.
Kyle, Carson, Jay and the rest of the folks who have been there these past few months - thank you. I really, sincerely appreciate the help you've given me. I definitely have no regrets about declining MLM's and "get rich quick deals". There is definitely something here for me, and I'm gonna stick with it. If I lose out on Amazon (which hopefully won't happen), I know there are other affiliates that I can go with, so I won't stop writing and improving my content.

Great progress.
I am still stuck at course 4 lesson 1.
All my energy goes into content, SEO and website tweeking.
I really need to continue with studying.
Need to improve the social media "game". Always "forget" to share my content.
Don't worry too much about Amazon.
Even if you drop out, you can just apply for it again without a problem.
I think they just want to get rid of their inactive partners.
The only problem would be, that you'd have to generate all your links again, as far as I know.
I got the same warning but only a bit after got a sale, so that's it.
90 days is a long time. By then your website has matured quite a bit and should gain more traffic again.

Thanks Moritz! Yeah, it was only through this Course that I really got to appreciate the social media aspect - it was because of this course that I setup my Pinterest account, and man is it powerful!
Definitely not worried about Amazon at this point, I just want to get consistent with posting content like when I was going through Course 3. I'm hoping that I'm able to interconnect my content as well so that my viewers can continue to stay on my site, so if you have tips on that I'm all ears. :)
