Hello I think I have a similar incident, I can't use Elementor. I sent them te log's error, waiting for them to answer.

Not sure how your site looks , but if you used a lot of images than shrink them in size to less bites than you might be able to continue .
sometimes when you upload images they take up to much memory.

Thanks, I will try this.

I just got a reply from Elementor that you will then need to change the host.

I am a new person into this field, learnt this elementor and the generatepress theme by giving it sometime.

Now WA support is not ready to increase my memory and Elementor says to change host, I do not know what to do.

I expected that WA will help me out with hosting issues and that I can concentrate on other things. But I think that slowly as you face problems you are going to learn slowly.

If anyone has some solution then let me know as I do not wish to take my site anywhere else as I think I have paid here the charges and had thought that at least my hosting problems are over.

would recontact Elementor theme support to further explore a solution with them.

Well, I have recontacted them and told them that my host is not ready to increase memory because that is their policy so they need to help me by giving a solution. Waiting for a further reply from them.

Hey Rajesh,

What is it that you were trying to create with Elementor?
Can you not see how to edit what you want to do?
Can you provide a screen print of what you want to edit without revealing security details?

Thanks Triblu for the immediate response.

I am trying to edit my home page which has a lot of details. While trying to edit the home page with elementor, elementor does not load and keeps trying to load. I talked to elementor people, they said you will need to increase the memory php which is currently set to 40 MB. You need to increase it, that is the issue.

I made a site wp.siterubix.com where I am not trying to sell anything but was trying to showcase to people that you can make a beautiful site on siterubix.com free of cost using elementor and generatepress free versions and using all things free.

This way I thought that visitors would see the strong features of WA and come and join it.

Well, I am not a computer programming person and do not understand programming.

Okay ... sooooo, you're question is more of a "heads-up" to us members rather than a cry for help then. Gotchya' ... thanks for explaining.

Elementor is NOT some mere frivolous thing but enables a website owner to make loads of changes to a theme that could not otherwise be done without large amounts of CSS. IF WA cannot support it I would leave. I have a website with over 700 pages. I intend to use Elementor. If this is the kind of support we are getting at WA then I say time to leave

Hey Brian,

Sorry if I have stated something that offends you.

Please, contact support before getting angry over a conversation that took place almost a year ago now. :-(

I did contact but not complaining about you. I just disagree that Elementor or for that matter any page builder is a minor issue. The whole purpose of a page builder is to free the individual so that design can be faster. Wordpress is coming out with a feature called "GutenBerg" that will do some of these things. But i suspect the same issue that Rajeshhain had would arise to.

Elementor is not restricted to the GeneratePress Theme but they are frequently married. In addition their are rival page builders. Divi has one and BeaverBuilder come to mind. See video below
NOTE WA will list the full url so just add the second part if you want to view. Else search on Elementor on youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=iPeA-VQI7LE

Elementor has a free version that has a lot.

This video shows what the free version is about.
https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=NUlI09hn0Bo

I just got the paid version. Also their are even add-ons to that.

Below is a youtube video on the paid version.

Trying to implement any of the improvements via CSS is beyond most of us. Heck even some CSS is still a must regardless. In fact there are changes

If you have a large site you can use one of the above to create various landing pages. I have a site with 700 pages but as it is on politics most are not evergreen. A page builder gives the ability to have "issue pages" and even to create a page for every post that modifies the theme in effect.

Success is success no matter how you choose to build a site Brian, and I wish you loads of success!

did you ever find a solution? I am having the same issues with not being able to use Elementor

What I have understood from the various tutorials is that sooner you have a paid theme, the better it is. I am from a non computer background and wish to buy a paid theme. Some

Okay.... I use both Divi and the Genesis. As a developer I know, (sorry if this confuses anyone) Geniesis is not .... per se..... a theme.

Genesis is a framework. With the Divi you CAN have a child theme, with Genesis you MUST use a child theme.

However.... the online industry is going through a paradigm sift. I use what my clients want. I get 2 to one Divi 3.0 compared to Genesis.

To complicate things a tab bit more. I have actually placed the Divi Builder on the Genesis Framework.

.......Damn bear went back in time.

Only the Bear would think to do that with the Divi Builder. Gotta love that stankin' Bear!!!

Chris so you would suggest Divi with Genesis. Or Divi as standalone.?

I would suggest Divi 3.0.27

I would also disassemble the list of plugins you are using and make a list that you would be tickled with.

Yes just saw the site http://timcase.siterubix.com/

I suppose I will then buy the Divi 3.0.27 and forget genesis. As far as plugins are concerned, I will surely take your help.

Did you happen to see who the developer was at the bottom ? Ask me a question or two in PM before you buy.

Elegant Themes and Divi are in a class of their own.
They look absolutely incredible!
If you need any additional help or training on them, the best person to contact is our own ChrisScott, the Teddy Bear, he is an expert in these specifically, and an excellent Webmaster, whose info you can trust.
The effectiveness of these results will utterly "blow you away", as they did me.....☺☺☺

It blows my mind every time I realize you are my friend!!

#OneLuckyGuy

I am using Whitespace Pro on Genesis Framework. I Love it. I also use Thrive Content Builder.

That Builder is okay, but if you like that, try the Beaver Builder or the Divi. All three are awesome, but it would be a toss up between Beaver and Divi.

PM me and since you understand builders and frameworks, I'll give you a Divi Builder.......on me.

I will be having a massive startup on a launching pad in about 6 months and you can return the favor by doing a review on a free 6 month membership package so you can do a true review.

Thanks Chris for the all good discussion you have give here. It must be really enriching for newbies. I saw a youtube with beaver builder and genesis framework.

I am wanting to go for genesis but I heard it is too complicated for people who are not from coding or computer background. Then I found Divi as second best which I saw being good for people like me not from computer background.

Thanks

Belden, what has been your experience using Genesis framework.

I just heard Jay (magistudios) mentioned about a blogging theme on Genesis Framework, so I checked. I am impressed with Genesis, and I like the Whitespace Pro Child Theme, so I did not take what Jay mentioned.

Sad to say I forgot now what was that Child Theme name, lol. I am not a coder or want to do codes in the future. I heard the Child Themes are very good for coders to customize but I cannot do that. Out of the box, I fell in love with Genesis.

Very responsive. Very easy to install and run. I have never touched a code and I am already customizing.I Paid $99.99 lifetime, and I am using it on all my websites.

If I want another Child Theme, it would cost me around $39.99 lifetime. What I like about the Genesis Framework is they have exclusive plugins . Hope this helps.

Hey Rajesh,

My preference is with ThriveThemes, as I have discovered they truly do offer fully optimized themes, and I've been able to delete a few plugins now, as my new themes come with a LOT included.

People buy your poop not because of the theme but that beautiful picture on your " I Love Me Page" ( About Me )

Man do I have some pretty friends.

LOL, you sure are cute Chris ... LOL, thanks for your comment ... though I haven't a clue about the "I Love Me Page" that you are referring to.

Hugs,
Trish

That's what I call the "About" page.

Thanks Triblu

Surely will go through the thrive theme.

Rajeshjain, you are gonna be a great web master. You have got us all puking information and we love it!! Take your time and review them all.

I have an extra copy of "Counsel Premium " it is a great Premium Theme and easy, yet looks great and very customizable.

Check it out, if you like it, I will install it for you and you will owe me a whole cup of coffee, if we ever get to meet up in a big group of you and me and a bunch of our WA friends.

I would check this out:
https://winningwp.com/genesis-vs-divi-how-to-decide-which-to-choose/

I am personally a Genesis guy myself.

Thanks Tyler, really a nice link which has such a good comparison between both, I think Genesis would be better if someone can learn to code also.

I haven't looked into paid themes

Which is the free themes you use

I use travelify on one of my sites

The "Iconic One" is the free theme I would recommend. I also like the new 2017.

I am using Avada and I am very üpleased with it. The support team is truly great and the theme allows me to do the things I want to do in an easy manner. It depends on what you want to do with your website, this tells you which theme to use. I use Sauron for my-cat dot org website - and this is absolutely perfect for that topic as it shows a lot of photos on the homepage, while for my other main websites this theme would not fit at all.

One thing is sure: the earlier you do it, the better. It was quite a bit of work to adjust the new theme to the content which was already there. It never goes over to the other smoothly, always things to fix. And when the site is big you often find out the problems only by chance and after a while....

Good luck
#Heidi

Great theme. Very complicated and heavy. Way tooooo many buttons, bells, bows, and whistles to be a straight up actual Theme. Would have been much better had they made it a Builder or a framework.

Before you buy Divi (which is the best theme on the planet) I would suggest you talk to someone who uses it. DoubleTapp has been using it a couple of years now.

Personally I love the Divi theme but many times it's over my head and support can be frustrating! My saving grace has been Teddy Bear because Divi seems to be more for developers. I think I would seriously look at studiopress Genesis themes!

Randy, you and your online prowess is second to none.

Hey Chris, you can do anything when you're propped up by a good 'ol Teddy Bear...LOL!!!

Oh seriously Double Tap

I thought studiopress genesis was for developers, you mean if I want I can learn and handle it. I thought divi was for ordinary folks and not developers.

Let me go through more on studiopress.

I've listened to Nathaniell talk about Genesis and he absolutely loves it. But I did go ahead and go with the Divi theme. I love it's capabilities as you saw with the Tim Case site. Chris knows me and knows how I was pretty oblivious to all of this before I came to WA.

So yep, absolutely... if Chris thinks Divi is a good choice for ya', I wouldn't give it a second thought... 'ol T.B. knows his stuff!

For me Rajesh, I enjoy tinkering a little bit so I've really enjoyed the education I've gotten with the Divi theme. It truly is an amazing theme with incredible potential and they really are still just working the bugs out of it like T.B. told me a month or so ago.

If I can help, just say the word!!!

Don't blame me for your awesomeness. It's Christ in you doing that. I want to be more re like you. Your kind words always props me up!!'

I have and do appreciate you.

Ah T.B. you are way too kind!!! I do love ya' Brother! Yes, our God is good!

I would like to add one thing before you purchase anything, do a full review on the theme, meaning YouTube videos on how to use the one you are interested in and to get reviews from other WA members.

Don't just buy the first things that looks good because it might take a lot of effort. And the key here is to have a good site but you shouldn't spend hours on end just to develop one post.

The timing part of a post or page is the content and not so much the site design, site design can come after you gain my experience and have done you review checks.

Thanks Shane for the advice, I think I will work more on content then and in the meanwhile wait for the right theme to buy.

Shane nailed that.

Thanks Chris

You are very welcome, my friend.

I'd go with a free theme that can be upgraded to a paid theme.

Gautam, could you suggest me some themes which with your experience you found them good. Initially I can go for the free one which can later be upgraded to a paid theme.

Hi Rajesh,

I have a post on my site A. It has been indexed by google. Now I wish to delete this post from site A and copy and paste this post from site A to site B. My question is whether

How about this:
You leave your post where it is, on site A.
Then you write an introduction (about the post) on site B and add a nice picture and a link (to the post).
Result: no problems with Google.

aah, this looks like a nice piece of advise.

Great!

This latest advice from Google from 2016 is useful in that it clarifies Google’s position,
which I quickly paraphrase below:

There is no duplicate content

Google rewards UNIQUENESS and the signals associated with ADDED

Google FILTERS duplicate content

Duplicate content can slow Google down in finding new content

XML sitemaps are just about the BEST technical method of helping Google discover your new

Duplicate content is probably not going to set your marketing on fire

Google wants you to concentrate signals in canonical
and it wants you to focus on making these canonical pages BETTER for USERS.

For SEO, it is not necessarily the abundance of duplicate content on a website that is the real issue.
It’s the lack of positive signals that NO unique content or added value provides that will fail to help you rank faster and better in Google.
Hope this helps:)

Thanks for the details.

Thanks Boomerg, littlemama, Gautam for your answers but after going through the same, the confusion still remains as to what should be the best course of action. I think I will wait for some more opinions.
Has anyone tried such a thing earlier and if he or she can share some personal experience.

I'd go with Boomerg's suggestion. But at the same time he says, "Google could also see it as duplicate content AT FIRST" Please pay attention to the capitalization.

I think, slowly, google should be fine. And going back to your initial query, I don't think you will be 'penalized.' Why don't you do a small experiment and move posts and see what happens? Then if everything's fine, you could do on a larger scale.

I wonder if it would be better to deindex the post first from Google for Site A, and then paste it into site B. Maybe that would be better?

How do I deindex?

If you use All-in-one SEO, you have these options at the end of the post to have bots not follow, exclude from sitemap, disable, etc, see attached... once you checked these, have google crawl your site again.

Looks like an interesting idea!, I think I will try to check these options on one post, wait for a week or 10 days to see if it goes out from google, then think of posting it in another blog.

Thank you - makes sense. I think deleting, deindexing and then moving the post should be safe, after a small experiment. If it does not work or google views this badly, Boomerg's suggestion should work.

Good luck!

I would not transfer the post. Seeing how Google has already indexed it, deleting it would not fully erase it from the index, plus you will be creating a 404 error on site A.

Google could also see it as duplicate content at first, even though you delete it from site A. Your best bet is to leave things as they are and write something new and similar and/or link to the post on site A from site B.

I had similar concerns, but I was advised - google isn't going to remember if I delete.

I wasn't into publishing the same contents elsewhere, but deleting and replacing with other contents.

Now, I 'm thinking again.

Google will not remember if you delete it from site A. So, the question of penalty does not arise.

Yes, you can establish that anchor test and hyperlink anywhere in any post of your sites content!

Thanks MK, but can you please elaborate as to how to do in any other post from the first post.

Hello my dear friend, thank you so much for the question. I was about to ask the same question, but you did it before me.
So many thanks, I'll try the solution that our friend Rich gave.
All the best.

Yes, interlinked content only helps your Reader's engagement and helps Google rankings.

I completely agree with Loes

Internal linking to your own content is very good

What Rich said, that´s a good link.

You can do this with "anchor text".

Thanks Rich for the link, I will go through the same and would come back to you if I have some queries. It was nice of you to respond so fast.

Thank you my dear Rich. I'm also benefiting from your reply.
