Several Hours and Still Going
I have been working on my site for several hours a day since the 19th! I swear if I wasn't worried about the effects lack of sleep can have on a person, I would stay up all night! I'm just really motivated and determined to work on my site, especially since I will be out of school for a month.
I joined Wealthy Affiliate several months ago but stopped after getting a job, seeing that my financial needs were met. However, I am back in the financial situation I was in before. I know that I can not make money right away with Wealthy Affiliate but given that I:
1. I want to spend more than I make
2. Won't have my degree until 2019 or 2020
3. Like to write and wanted to have my own site or blog for a long time
I figured that I now that I'm out on break from school, I'll work again on Wealthy Affiliate. So far, I am almost done with Course 2 (just have to write a post and I'll be done). Before settling on giving people ideas on what to make (in arts and crafts), I had rubix sites dedicated to Japanese culture, the Tudors, and the paranormal.
So far, I have written 3 posts on my site, but I have ideas for SO much more. I plan on finishing all the lessons and courses by the time classes start again or at least on the last one. My goal in the next 3 months is to focus on growing my following on my site and to make at least $50 a month. I know that number is low, but being the first 3 months, my money exceptions isn't high and I'm trying to be realistic though I'll probably be lucky if I make $50 a month.
Within the 6 months, I intend on making way more, preferably $500 a month, although I'll try to aim for $700. In a year's time, I plan on making between $1,000-$5,000 a month.

Don't forget to jot those ideas and save rough drafts! You could also set up a posting schedule?
I need to work on that. Writing a schedule down is easy but it's sticking to it that's hard. I'll either spend too much time on one thing and neglect other tasks in the process or I get lazy and fall behind on things. Time management is a skill I need to work on. Sorry for replying so late by the way.
I meant an automated schedule....you can write ahead of time and post later.....I also make use of voice recording for ideas that hit me while on the road or busy somewhere along with a few 'hints' to remind myself what I was thinking....lol....there are now programs that voice to text making it easier to at least get those rough drafts written down.
