Some Soil at Last

Introduction

Good Afternoon to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well, it has gone very humid this afternoon, think that we are still having a heatwave, or is that just me in my old age!!

As usual the title says it all, I have been able to do some serious weed removal, as a result I have a very small area of my garden which is just about bare earth, do so hope that I can continue to make more inroads in the next few days.

It could be the weather but I have spent most of today sat in my chair napping!!

But I will close my intro with your favourite news item, my lunch - today I treated myself to a fresh Chicken, this I cooked in the Air Fryer, thought that it would last a couple more days and save me wondering what to do in the Evenings!

Today's menu was - Fruit Juice, Roast Chicken with Roast Potatoes, Roast Parsnips, Yorkshire Pudding and my Herby Red Wine Gravy followed by Split Pot Cherry Yoghurt. As usual all washed down with a glass of Malbec.

The Last Few Days

In addition to the bit of weeding mentioned above I have continued to remove the dead flowers from one of the Mock Orange Shrubs, must do the other one next. You may recall that last year I built a Box and Trellis into which I planted a Jasmine, this is now in full flower and really does look a treat next to my Summer House or Studio, thou it is not used for anything at the moment.

When I ordered some new plants I took a fancy to a couple of solar powered lights, in fact they are on stems, one has some eight coloured balls at the end, the other eight bees, they are now working and at night they light up the border on the Kitchen Patio, which means that I can see them when I am in the Kitchen, it does help brighten the area up. When there is a breeze they float around.

I seem to spend a lot of the time watering when I am in the garden, not really done what I had hoped for, if I am honest it is has been a tad to warm, so I have tried to do a little at night.

I have found some items on my hard drive which I would like to study, but as usual I have not made a note of where they are, really must get a grip.

The Next Few Days

This will depend on a number of factors, the fact that I am due to go on holiday in a couple of weeks and need one or two new items, also need to make sure that what I am taking with me are ready to be packed. Must confess that I am really looking forward to this break as I certainly need it!! (I know poor old soul!) Not sure if it is since I gave up the car, but I do feel the need to get away, it is silly really as there is a Bus Stop at the top of the road, all I have to do is jump on a Bus and I can go to a number of places.

Think that this week I will just let things fall into place as the mood suits me.
