Nothing to Say?
Introduction
Good Evening to all you lovely folk at the WA Family, as always do so hope that you are keeping both safe and well.
On reading this you could have a little smile or even a smirk on your face, me with nothing to say, most unlikely, is likely to be your comment. The title in fact refers to the fact that I have continued my break from the world of business, so I really do not have a great deal to comment on.
Having said that I do flick through my files on the odd occasion and came across this quote, which I thought to be very suitable for this blog, or even for those of us who make mistakes, but fail to learn from them.
" A failure is a man who has blundered, but is not able to cash in on the experience. ~ Elbert Hubbard"
Apologies for anyone who is offended by this quote it is not meant to be personal, just my thoughts as I can relate to the quote, certainly when I began to use the internet to try to make some cash. Another phrase for me would be "Silver Dollar Moment", and boy did I make a few of those.
The Last Four Days
Very nearly called this "I cannot really be bothered" which was true until I sat down and started to type, as I really have had a fair amount of me time, in fact it is almost certain that this blog will not make 500 words.
As I said I would, have done my live chat and one advert each morning. When I went for my weekly drive called in the local DIY shop for paint and other bits that I needed. Did not have the shelf brackets that I need to put up a new herb rack. When I was talking to my wife about what I need to do in the kitchen, did talk myself into more work, we have two wall cabinets, so they are now going to come down, and a shelf go up instead. When I have filled in the holes and painted. We no longer need them, and it will open up our rather small and narrow kitchen.
Gardening has been almost on hold due to the weather.
Did have one moment of total relaxation, whilst sorting out my office found a cork board around 600mm square, so with the train track that I found have made a goods' yard. Once I am happy with the running of the trains and wagons, this could be made permanent and scenery added, but we will see! As it is back to work next week.
The Next Three Days
Do intend to continue my break, but will be giving a lot of thought to the future, before I reopen the business, about next Wednesday.
I do have a lot of thoughts going through my head at the moment, so will need to decide just where I do go forward from, this will not be easy, as I am struggling to remember where I was, when I started my break.
Conclusion
Whilst nothing is being done as such on the business front, I am a lot more relaxed, which was the whole point of having some time off.

I used to think that relaxing was a waste of time and felt guilty but I now believe that we're more productive if we DO take some time to relax and recharge. I don't mean a whole month but a few days or at least a few hrs once a week.

Debbi, I agree with you, think that whilst I have needed this break, it might have been too long, but we will see next week.

I agree with you, we need some to relax and enjoy little things around us. For me, I obligated myself to writemore than a thousand word, and sometimes it becomes a burden rather than the way forward. But one thing is I will relax but never quit. I like your quote: " A failure is a man who has blundered, but is not able to cash in on the experience."
