Introduction

Good Afternoon to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

The title will become obvious as you read through this week's blog, it could so easily have been a number of things, from totally lost it to just what am I doing or where has the week gone.

The Last Few Days

You may recall that last week I said that I was looking into sorting some form of video for my website, having had a little play have realised that my processor is not big enough, being 32 bit and not the needed 64 bit.

Phoned my computer team up, posh word for the local shop, to be told that it can only be done with a new computer. This at the moment is not going to happen. March sees Car Insurance, Car Tax, Car Servicing and MOT, add Water Rates and Council Tax and I just cannot justify the added outlay.

However he did suggest that I buy one that has been refurbished with all that I need on it, the price that he quoted is reasonable so I said let me save up first. I try never to jump at offers like that straight away.

Will get one in a month or so, this will enable me to expand what I am doing with the website.

You may gather that I have had one of those weeks when not a lot has either been done or even achieved, can not offer a logical explanation for this at all.

Did think of calling this post another sort out. Having had the news over my computer, decided to have a look at just was on my desktop, as a result have managed to get rid of a number of files and programmes.

This has also led to me finding programmes which I had forgotten about, no did not go playing, merely been made aware of what I can use as well as the site.

After watching the days' football last night realised that I had done little or nothing of real use all week, only a few goals completed and no visit to the website at all that I could recall.

This changed as I went on the site for an hour before I went to bed, discovered that I can add a standalone newsletter to it, without a lot of fuss, plus one or two other bits which I had forgotten about.

As a result went to bed in a much happier frame of mind, also slept quite well.

The Next Few Days

Having spent some of the day on my website, in between cooking the Sunday Lunch, hopefully I will be able to get the enthusiasm up to carry on with it later.

The Newsletter idea has got me thinking about sending it to the little list which I have and including a freebie of some sort, feel that I must pay a lot more attention to the site once more.

When I sign off from this blog will do my list of goals for the week, in fairness the very important ones were dealt with, so it was not a completely wasted week.

I am started feeling tired tonight so may not do a great deal more, will just have to see how I feel.

There is certainly a lot that needs doing on the new website, all that I am short off is the enthusiasm to do it, I have had a walk round the garden to see all that needs doing there, then the house needs redecorating. as a result I just feel that there is so much just where do I start.

As always I will get there, must really try to develop some form of plan to put everything in an order that gets a little of each either daily or weekly.

Hopefully when British Summer Time begins in a couple of weeks, not only will the extra hour of daylight make me feel a lot better, it will give me more time to slot in the garden as well.

At least I ordered some plants for the hanging baskets, so do like to have them all planted up, it really cheers me up when I am in the garden seeing then all in flower.

Conclusion

It has certainly been a very bitty type of week, feel that after last night on the website that I am starting to get things back in perspective, which is fine as long as I do not ignore everything else that needs seeing to. It is a good job that I am retired!! As the saying goes would not have time to go to work.

In some ways having a rubbish week might just be what I need to get me started again, but as always we will see.

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy

Please do stay safe,

God Bless

Stuart

Stuart, I believe you will sort things out! Achieving any task is a great accomplishment; therefore, do not discount anything that you have gotten done. Remember, small cogs assist with motion too.

Canty

Canty many thanks as always.

Hey VH

We moved our clocks forward today so I lost an hr. This is so unnecessary and frustrating. I don't understand why this is done. Pick a time and stay with it!!!!! I don't even care which time you pick. In case you can't tell, this really annoys me because it messes my rhythm up for about a week.

You're right about being retired. With everything that's on my plate, I know I wouldn't have time to go to work. I'm NEVER bored at least.

Why do you have to redecorate the house? You seem to have a lot going in your life do so don't be hard on yourself.

Pour a glass of wine and go sit in your garden for a half hour. Absorb the energy out there. It's good for the soul.

Take care of yourself and have a good week.

Hi VW,

This reply must be a record, must confess though the hour does mess with me for a day or so, do appreciate the extra time in the evenings for the garden, it is cooler to work then.

The house decot is looking tired in most rooms so needs to be freshend up, also with it being Victorian, cracks appear in walls and ceilings so they need to be plastered.

Would love a glass of wine but at 11am it is early even by my standards lol. Will have to settle for a coffee.

Do you think that once you retire that you find work to replace your paid work, just a thought!!

Have a great week, and do take great care.

As always

Your VH xx

I love Victorian houses although I imagine there is a lot of upkeep. So, now I get the new decor. Don't overdo with that. I know my back gets tired.

Just wanted to respond and say I have been retired from my paid job since 2013. Time has flown by though. As far as retiring meaning sitting on a porch swing all day and watching the world go by, well, that's just not me.

I have several hikes and kayaking trips planned for next month. I'm looking for someone to go ziplining with me again but all my more adventurous friends have moved.

Sorry, just found thid, my adventure days are now just about over apart from a good walk around this beautiful countryside which we have here. My sporting days have caused my knees and hios to reduce some activities, OK, I am getting ole.!!

Take care

Your VH

At least you know where to start, and I'm assuming you've figured out what you need to do first. That's always helpful. The old list can come in very handy. Good luck with figuring it all out, and hope you can get that new computer soon.

Many thanks for your comments.

That sounds like big improvements!

Had some hurdles too...
and was finally up to solve them, one by one...

Wishing you a fruitful week

🚀

Thanks Fleeky.
