Lovely Sun
Introduction
Good Evening to all you lovely people at the great WA Family, as always do hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.
It is has been a strange week in a number of ways, so the title could have been any number of things.
This week I do not really know where to start, it has just been one of those strange weeks.
The Last Few Days
This could be a little disjointed as I honestly cannot remember what happened in any particular order, or even just what happened on some days.
On Tuesday at the branch meeting at Ashby, I was informed that the committee wished me to become the next President. I have decided to accept the appointment, which was passed without dissent. The reason that I have decided to become the Preident is they do need someone to guide them as they do not have a great deal of experience. When I told my son he said "Mum would not be happy", I told him that I was offered the post when Mum was still with us, this I refused as I knew that she would not have been happy, and I was in no position to accept. We will just have to see what happens. Will still remain active at my main Branch.
Done a little work in the garden, some years ago I planted some pimulas in tubs on the kitchen patio, we both decided that they would be nice if I removed them from their tubs and planted them in the garden, at the front of the border opposite the kitchen window, upto now I have moved eight plants, they will look great once I made some room to plant more.
It was a difficult day for me yesterday as it was fifty six years since we got married, I was weepy in the morning, spent most of the day at cricket, then felt a little fed up with things so came home. Bought some red roses for the vase, this I also did last year, Yvonne loved them.
Today I was different again, my friend started telling jokes which cheered me up a lot, also sat on the balcony in the Sun watching the cricket it was really great.
Not really done any training as such, but I have been able to look at at least one website and some products to use, the plan is to get a new USB and copy these products on to it, then take it with me when I go away next Sunday, then when I feel like it begin to repurpose it, that is the plan anyway!!
The Next Few Days
Have to prepare a brief for the press on my appointment as President, so that will be my main task tomorrow with the cricket finishing a day early I have a free day tomorrow. Do need to get the plants in a watering system, they will need it if the weather remains the same.
My car is booked in for service on Tuesday, also need to buy some more casual trousers, plus other bits before I go away.
Have to see what I need to pack and get my new sat nav sorted out.
Hope to leave around ten next Sunday morning, so will blog on Saturday.
Be happy, healthy and wealthy.
Please do take care and stay safe.
God Bless
Stuart

Sounds like life is going on. Congratulations on keeping different parts of it going.
Having different interests is healthy, I think.
Enjoy preparing for your trip.

Hi Stuart,
We really have had a lot of lovely sunshine recently and it looks as if the weather is going to stay nice for the next 10 days or so. This will be great for your holiday, but it definitely means you need to have some sort of watering system in place, especially for the newly planted things.
I can well imagine why Yvonne wouldn't have been happy about you taking on the Presidency since it would have taken time away that she would have wanted you to spend with her, but now that she's gone it'll be something to take your mind off your loss. And your experience will be valuable to them.
You are going to have a busy week, but you've got it all planned out so you can look forward to your week away.
Sending you lots of good wishes for a great week from sunny North Gloucestershire.
Isabella
Hi Isabella,
Thanks for this, you are right about Yvonne, that Is why I stood down from the Membership Council, too often away!!
It is thanks to your cricket team that I have today at home, as Derbyshire somehow managed to win the game with a day to spare, I certainly can do with the time this week!
Will flood the plants for a couple of days and hope for the best?
Four of the shrubs arrived today, it should have been Friday of this week, so I have been able to pot them on to start to get established before I leave on Sunday.
Have a great week,
Take care,
Stuart
