Introduction

Good Morning to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

The weather is absolutely gorgeous here like in many parts of the Country, I had intended to go in the garden, but thought that I would do this first, and leave the garden until it gets cooler in the Evening.

The title as usual says it all, I have been working on both subjects.

Can I thank all of you who hoped that I would soon recover from my lethargy, still very tired, but a lot brighter.

The Last Few Days

Was able to fill the two compost bins before the bin men came, in fact I have half filled one of them already, as I went in the garden last night and cleared completely the right hand path, which has made accessing the bottom of the garden a lot easier, just the middle path to do in that that part of the garden, trouble is it is such a mess, with the weather which we have had everyting is just going mad.

The plants which I ordered have all arrived, must confess that I am very pleased with them, the herbaceous I am delighted with as they are a much better mixture than I have had in the past. These are now all planted up into pots, to allow then to get even a better rootball before they go in the garden, do have the bed to dig over and clear first, The plants were some 25cm round, with good root growth. I have planted Geraniums in two planters, which are on the Kitchen Patio, thought that they would brighten it up, the two climbing roses are in a bucket full of water for a few days before thay go in Rose Pots which I have to grow on before I plant them around the Arch, which I am still to build!

When I checked the potting bench this morning, I was delighted to see that an Aquilegia which I have been going on, has flowered, it is pure White, which I do not have so I was delighted to see it.

When I looked out of the dining room window this morning when I drew back the curtains, I was delighted to see the Red Peony, the Pink Rhodedanram, and the Red Rose all brightening up the scene. in total they are some half way down the garden, so things are beginning to brighten up everywhere, in my bottom border I have a number of Foxgloves and Dutch Iris, so it is getting a joy to go doen the garden now, despite the multitude of weeds.

Must confess that I was a tad weepy yeaterday when I saw that the Red Rose was out, as Yvonne, loved to see that it was in flower, but they are happy memories, I miss her so very much!

I have started the introduction to the Garden Web Site, just a page to start with, also done some content on the Cooking Site.

The Council evening was enjoyable, an old Friend was elected as the new Vice-Chairman, he has asked me to run the Remembrance Events in November, which I will refuse as I do the Village where my Family come from every year since I stepped down from Legion Posts..

The Next Few Days

Suppose that I should start with todays Lunch Menu!

Fruit JUice (Mango), Stuffed Breast of Chicken, Roast Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, Yorkshire Pudding and Gravy, followed by Strawberry Eton Mess. Normally I only have a Yorkshire with Beef, but when I saw the packet in the freezer, thought why not, not had one for ages.

I will spend what time I can on the garden, as I have so much to do! But will be wary of the sun, talking of which, before I had my shower this morning I stripped the bed and put the Summer Duvet on, so it should be cooler tonight.

Intend to carry onwith both websites, so that niether get ignored!
