Bits and Bobs

Introduction

Good Afternoon to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well, as is my wont the title says it all, having said that for today the title could read, just too much trouble to do anything!

As you will read it has not been too bad a week, allowing for some really heavy rainstorms with periods of nice warm Sun.

The Last Few Days

I have really been flitting from one thing to another for most of the week that is just how I have felt, achieving or starting one thing then dodging to do another, without any real objective, that is how it has felt in the real world I think that some things have been done.

My pinks have arrived and have been potted on to enable the root ball to grow to a size that will allow them to establish quickly when they are transferred to their spot in the garden, which of course has to be prepared!!

The Kitchen Patio has a border down one side, like the rest of the garden it does need to be heavily weeded before I can get it planted up, thou I do have some plants in there, including a Delphinium which is in flower and a Hollyhock which is full of bud. Also two Lavenders which are in flower. I did make a start on this the other night, just a couple of square feet but it is a start. I have ordered a few more plants to go in this border!

Regarding the garden I have done quite a bit of weeding, my left hand path which I use a lot has become a little overgrown, to such an extent that when it has rained that my trousers got wet, I have managed to clear a lot of this out, in fact when I got up this morning my intention was to finish it off, not even been down there.

On the plus side my two compost bins are both nearly full, ready for emptying on Friday.

You may recall some months ago I bought a Rose Arch kit, this week I have made a start on putting it together, the two roses which I bought bare rooted I have put in a bucket of water they are coming on fine, so must finish the arch and get the ground ready for them.

However I have a family funeral to help sort out in the next few days, a cousin of Yvonne's passed away, just a few weeks short of his 104th Birthday, a Naval veteran who served in Normandy on D-Day, whose ship liberated Guernsey, so I have been asked to help sort the Military side of the funeral, I have made a start, but intend to buckle down tomorrow and get it sorted, the funeral is not until the 25th June (Yvonne's 80th Birthday)! But these things do take time to sort out.

Had a look at both my websites and did a little work, also did some studying.

For those of you who like to know for lunch I had:

Fruit Juice, a ready Chicken Dinner, Banoffee Pie followed by Cheese and Biscuits, as usual all washed down by a Glass (OK Two) of Malbec.

I had intended to a have Pulled Pork, but when I looked in the freezer found that I had two Chicken Dinners, so that made the choice for me.

Went to the Bank on Thursday, as usual the advisor wanted me to move accounts around, I am getting very good at saying let me think about it. As it was nearly lunch time treated myself to a Sausage Bap and a Coffee, before I caught the Bus home.

When I was shopping on Friday I saw my youngest Grandson who had just been to the Barbers, he advised me that he had finished with his partner of two years, I am not sorry which he knew, nice girl, but with a lot of health problems, if they got married he would have wound up being a full time carer!!

The Next Few Days

This will depend on the weather with regard to the garden, have to make start on the Service Funeral, on Saturday I have been invited to a Legion Presentation Evening, which could be a pleasant change.

Will try to finish of the Rose Arch and get the ground ready so that I can plant the roses.

Can always find plenty to do.
