Introduction

Good Evening to all you lovely people at the WA Family, as always do hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

Feeling a lot more comfortable his week as I type these notes, as I can see the type normally, this thanks to Debbi, who told me how to increase the type on my laptop, what a caring community we are all part of.

The title is a little of my usual tongue-in-cheek, but with a fair amount of truth as well, this hopefully you will see in what I done this week, just hope that it is in some sort of logical order which you will be able to understand.

The Past Week

Each morning this week has been spent painting the doors in the kitchen, bathroom and the two lobbies, (It is a fairly large old Victorian Semi-Detached.)

As time has permitted, have each day visited daily chat, must confess to some days, signing in posting a couple of notes, then forgetting all about it, as I painted another door. Have told my wife that this coming week no more painting, but if the weather is decent might spend the odd hour in the garden.

Have been able to submit an article to my Family History site, not the one that I intended too post, that is still lost in my desktop computer. Decided to write one on backing up your work, this has been well-received, also had another article indexed on Google. That is the first four, which is a record for me.

Looking through my laptop found a Family History programme, which had a few names on it, well eighty to be precise, think this must have been when I was researching this particular family in London.

Finding a lot of my notes, have been able to make a start on the long job of putting as much back as I can. This led to my first light bulb moment, finding reference to a National document, I had all but forgotten existed, this has now given me my next article (when it is written) it is one that will be very useful to those studying their family history, and one that would not have had a mention, but for the PC crashing.

Whilst, like many of you, I receive invitations to watch webinars, I very rarely do. Find that they often bore me, and let us be honest only want your money. However one did catch my eye, so decided to have a look sat through well over an hour before the buy this came up, when I switched off, however I have to be honest it was the best one that I have ever seen. Giving me quite a few ideas. This suggested that you spend just one hour a day working on your new product, the idea being that in ten days it is ready to market.

My light bulb went off, I will now be spending an hour a day on my other website, which has been somewhat ignored. Thinking aloud again, could do one or two hourly segments for different sites and ideas,

You will gather that paining and starting to input the Family Tree has taken up most of my time, so this idea has given me the kick that I needed.

This Coming Week

Intend to still visit live chat, but try to pay more attention, by remembering that it is on, still do enjoy having a chat with so many that I now know on there.

Beginning on Monday, an hour will be dedicated to the new website, have neglected to sort out the advertising, so will really make the effort this coming week to get this part of my act together.

Will also spend time adding to the Family Tree on this computer, it just takes such a long time, might try a search to see if I have left any of it somewhere, like in the cloud, or on another programme.

Will write the next article for the Family History website, which will take an hour or two at least, as I have some research to carry out on it. Ideally if I could find time in the evening then it will free up my daytime for the new website. However that thought can be held for now.

Do know that I can write of Friday as I have to take the car into Town for its annual service and MOT check.

Conclusion

I feel that this week, has in someways been wasted, by all the time that I have spent painting, but these jobs do need to be done, and I really must factor these tasks into my schedule for the week, sad thing is I never do.

Am aware that I often say that I must get a lot more organised, not sure if this will ever happen, but you never know, the way that I feel at the moment I am very positive, (must point out that I am now on the second glass of Malbec).

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy

Please do stay safe

God Bless

Stuart

Happy to help my VH. Remember everything happens for a reason -- even the things that, at the moment, seem bad. Just look for the reason.

I know what you mean about projects. You're doing better with time allocation than I am. I get involved and don't stop. I still have more to do yet I know that I will be doing projects the rest of my life while my retiree rocking chair gets dusty.

LOL. That second glass of Malbec sounds good!!! Whatever works to stay positive.

VW

Hi VW, it is strange but you are right, I am having o search through all my records on Family History to attempt to put some of the 5,000 plus names back in the tree. As a result have found things that I have forgotten about, also research programmes that I pay into and have not visited for a long time. This will of curse help me to put the pieces back together as well. Will only allow myself a short time each day, otherwise my projects will get forgotten, and, let us face it, no chance of making money putting my Family Tree together.

VH

True. They're fun but not money making machines.

Great post, Stuart. I'm glad that everything is working out for you and your business.

Stay Safe,
