Sometimes You Need Mental Break
Last week I hit a big old road block while trying to write a blog. It was about 10:pm and I had all of my headings ready.
I started writing my introduction and I could not get the words out correctly, each time I typed a sentence I went back and erased it. So I decided to jump into a topic and come back later to my introduction. Mid paragraph, I lost all train of thought and was stuck again. I mean this was crazy as I knew this was going to be my masterpiece.
I sat staring at my computer totally confused what was wrong with me? There was no distraction in the background. I had smooth jazz playing which usually relaxes me and gets my creative juices flowing.
Okay, I said to myself, try Kyle's just write for 30 minutes, don't think just write. Well my creative juice refused to cooperate and my fingers hovered over my keyboard refusing to work. By this time it was now 12:am. I decided to call it quits and go to bed.
I must say I had a great nights sleep and felt totally rejuvenated the next morning, because I woke up full of ideas on my blog at hand. At 6:30am Lap top open to Site content and my temp plate, I wrote 1000 words, wow how amazing. My creative juices was flowing again.
I realized that sometimes we need to shut it down and take a break. Our minds can suffer from overload and that's its way of saying "I'm tired and need a vacation.".
So it is okay to take a mental break now and then, actually it is healthy to do so.

Hi Esme, I struggle to write ALL of my content, and the only way I get through it is to walk away and take a break, it works wonders.

Yes, I agree. Take breaks a few times a day. Also, remember to stretch during your breaks.
I will indeed remember to do that. Thanks
