What Auto-Responder To Use?
Hello everyone,
Today, I wanted to talk about auto-responders and discuss options. Most online businesses will want to built a mailing list to build loyalty, increase engagement and get sales. It is not unusual for someone to visit your site and not buy anything, if you can figure out a way to get them to come back to your site, now you are talking.
Having a newsletter and offering an incentive is a great way to get someone's email addie. Offer a discount, a free item, offer value of any kind. Whatever works for you.
While you could set up your own responder, my opinion is that if your goal is to look professional and meet all federal requirements, then use a responder, some are even free up to a certain limit of subscribers.
I will list the ones that I use but I am always open to learn about others, by all means share it here.
(NOTE: My preferences is to only have 1 auto responder BUT I have multiple streams of income and of course, they use different auto responders so I had to use 3)
I use the following:
AWeber (Paid $9/month)
Sendlane (Paid $19/month)
Mailer Lite (Free up to 1000 subscribers)
I have about 2000 email addresses with Sendlane because it is the go to system of my main income generator.
About 900 email addresses with AWeber, just starting a second venture
3000+ email addresses with Mailer Lite.
Honestly, I LOVE Mailer Lite the best, easy to use, great service and lots of tools, only downfall is that many programs are not compatible (yet) but it is getting better. It does work fine with a word press blog.
AWeber is one of the best known AR, easy to use and affordable.
Sendlane is ok, honestly, if I did not have to use it, I would not.
Any other ideas? Let me know.
Thanks and take care
Pierre

Hi Pierre, I used Aweber for many years...but ran into some locality issues. I am from the UK and I switched to Getresponse which is a UK based company and have not looked back since.

Funny enough I am 6 days into a new 30 Day blogging Challenge on the very subject of Email Marketing.
Please do check it out if you get the time: 30 Days To Crush Email Marketing! It's All About The Plan - Day 2 The Welcome Email - Day 3 I Am Engaged! - Day 4 Should I Blast It? - Day 5 Check This Out - Day 6 I have also agreed to create a follow up training course once this current challenge is complete going further into the technical aspects of setting up an email subscribers list, including auto-reponders, analytics, landing pages etc.. which should help out a little.
You mention Mailer Lite, to be honest I've never come across it before...I'd be interested to hear about how it compares in your experience against any others that you have used in the past?
All the best,
Anthony
Hi Anthony,

Thanks Cath, I have actually been looking into it today...it does look very good. Thanks you guys
Better yet... what do folks use for a site promoting WA since so many Auto Responders don't allow you to promote something like WA where you're recruiting?
I use MailChimp for my niche site and love it!
Hi
For me for example, I offer a free Eight Steps to Online Success guide, That is how I get the email addresses.
Play around and find what works for you.
Thanks
Pierre
I am surprised ConvertKit is not on this list. It gets rave reviews and is promoted by Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income fame.
I love mailerlite. I'm using the free version as I have only just started with this account but the landing pages are easy to create and it integrates instantly with the WP plugin. Have started recommending it to friends and they are loving it too.
I use mailerlite it’s fantastic. Did a review on it recently with pricing comparisons on my Writingforcash.com site recently. It is sooo much cheaper than other options I looked at.
Hi Pierre, I use Benchmark.
I wrote a blog post on it recently for more information. My Free NO Plugin Autoresponder-Subscriber Sign Up Form
Yes. I do like it. I like that they accept affiliate marketing in their agreement policy. I like that they integrate with all of my other plugins.
