Just Ranked 1st Place In Bing Search!

So this was a really cool surprise today. Just found that one of my keywords ranks for first place in Bing search engine!

I found out sort of by accident I guess. I was looking at Google Analytics, and I noticed I'm often getting organic traffic to this one single article about how many calories you'll burn walking 10,000 steps.

I went to Google and typed in my keyword. I'm not ranking at all, on any of the first several pages. So, I then went to Yahoo and searched, and my article shows up on the second page.

Bing Search Wins

However, when I went to Bing, and searched for my keyword, I found that I'm not only on the first page but ALSO ranked in 1st place!

I thought, wow, how cool is that!? It looks as if though I'm the authority on this specific topic, the way they make the text of the article look all big and upfront!

What I find really interesting, is that Bing chose to pull out specific text from the middle of the article and highlight it, as if though it knew the specific answer people are searching for, and Bing pulled it directly from my article.

So, as soon as I saw this, I decided I'm going back to the article to make sure it's organized and formatted properly. I believe that's why many people here at WA suggest that we go back and do edits to old articles.

It makes sense at this point because I've been noticing a decent amount of traffic to this page. I want to make sure links are working properly, and it's worded well.

Anyway, just wanted to share this little success today! Also starting to notice traffic coming in from Google search recently, which seems to be a very good sign! For anyone who wants to visit my site, here it is.
