Hey Pranali,

You may find the following video helpful in setting up the AIOSEO plugin: Hope you find this helpful.

You should already have AIO SEO in your WordPress theme. You may have to activate it and do the settings. Look in your sidebar to the left and scroll down. If you don't see it, go to your plugins and see if it needs to be activated.

Hi All,
Hi,
I have received email from a genuine company wanting to pay for an advertisement or a place on one of my post ranking on google.
This is my first time r

I hope it turns out to be legit, Pranali!

Jeff

Hey Pranali,

Am hoping you've done your due diligence in checking that this claim is legitimate and not coming from a spammer or phishing expert.

Here's how you can check their email is really coming from where the sender claims to be from: Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you. I will check out the link. The company is legitimate and around for long time and I have used there products as well.

But anyone could claim to be a rep for them, and many spammers won't even be living in the same country they claim to represent.

Big companies don't usually ask bloggers if they can advertise on their websites.

Good point. I will be careful. Thank you

I have heard about advertising space, but it all depends on what the advertisement is about. You don't want to hurt your ranking or get taken down for inappropriate ads.

Yes, that’s what I am worried about.

Thank you for your input

I have a old blog post that is not getting any traction because keyword that I choose back then was highly competitive for my new site. I want to Update that article with new

I like Catherine's suggest as well, but some very good answers here!

Jeff

Hey Pranali,

If you do need to update your permalink then ALWAYS make sure to provide a REDIRECT from the OLD URL to the NEW URL or Google won't be happy with you.

Having made that mistake myself once, I won't be so quick to miss adding redirects in the future.

However, if the permalink still works okay with the additional information, then I wouldn't worry about changing the permalink. Google LOVEs it when you add information to older posts. It proves that you have not forgotten those posts.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you for your input. I have edited post without changing Parmalink for now. will see if I see any traction from google. Thank you for your input. I will remember you advise about redirect.

Hi, you can edit all except the URL, otherwise it would be considered a new post. However Catherine has a point.

Was just looking for a shortcut so I don’t have to rewrite on same topic.
I just read recently from someone that it is okay to change permalink as long as you set proper redirect. I have many post that was written when I did not understand keyword. Now that I understand keyword research better, I want to go back to old articles and modify them.

Thanks for you input.

If I were you, I would write a new article with the new keywords That gives you more content and less of a problem

Okay. Thank you. Thought about that but Old blog post is 3000 word and was just thinking of redirecting it with new low competition keyword.

Can you just copy/paste most of it, update it into a new post entirely, then delete the old post to avoid duplicate content?

To all SEO EXPERTS HERE, please help me with this.

1. I am looking to target a keyword but when I google it, all the post that ranked for that keyword is Pinterest. Woul

For the first one, if you are just getting Pinterest results then you should go for it. You will rank easily for this with decent content.

The second sounds like there is more competition. This means it's a good keyword as other are targeting it. Still go for it and make better content that others.

Confused about choosing a keyword?

Did you read the Yahoo help that I provided in a link above?

If Google is where most of your website traffic is coming from then why worry about Yahoo... just a thought.

Personally, I've never checked how Yahoo handles any of my sites.
