If you anyone is using Elementor and the Hello theme which gives a pre installed header and footer for the theme - does anyone know why a menu is not showing on the header aft

Awesomeness :)

It is either not set up correctly or needs reviewing.

Or you may need to empty the browser cache, refresh, and try again. You can also try the URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty the server's cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache

Abie

As mentioned, clear your cache and history, both on your computer and on the website itself.

In your WA site manager, select the website and under details, you can clear the cache.

Chexk to make sure that your menu is located in the header area. Go to Appearance>>menu and double check to see that it is your main menu.

If you still cannot see menu in header, check with WA site support. Too.

I use GeneratePress premium, and Elementor Pro.

I tried the Hello theme, yet it was too basic and didn't offer some of the options I can use with GeneratePress.

I've also used Astra, which is a great theme, yet I haven't found a theme yet to be better than GeneratePress premium to use with Elementor.

Even for my e-commerce site.

Hi Jonathan

The Hello theme is the one that Elementor recommends to use with their page builder for best results.

Assuming that clearing your browser and server cache did not fix the problem, it could be a conflict with another plugin.

Deactivate each of the other plugins one-by-one and check your header and footer.

After that, I recommend contacting Site Support for additional troubleshooting.

You're welcome, Jonathan. 😎

Hello Jonathan

I use Elementor and the Astra theme on my main website. It is a powerful combination and works quite well. I used Elementor to build a custom homepage for my website.

Unfortunately I haven't used the hello theme but the reason for my comment is that I wanted to advise you to use the Astra theme if you are having issues with the hello theme.

Have you tried refreshing the page or clearing the cache? This may solve your problem. Also make sure you always remember to click publish before you exit Elementor or close the page otherwise your changes won't be saved or published.

I'm not sure how much experience you have with building websites but Elementor is quite easy to use even when you are building from a blank page with no templates like I did. It is basically drag and drop like many other page builders.

I hope this helps you in some way. I hope you get your issue sorted out. Let me know if I can help you in any other way. All the best to your success.

Regards

Timothy

Many thanks for your help Timothy

Can I post other members Blog post on my LinkedIn feed - a link to their blog post and my Affiliate Link?

You can post the link, but you cannot copy/paste the content into your own LinkedIn blog.

Great to know, from one of the WA's well known ambassadors- thanks for the info 😊

I agree, Christorv!

Yes using the referral link on the blog post just bear in mind linkedin strategy is to keep you in the platform so it might slow your exposure . Its just how they roll ....

Hi there Jonathan
I post other members WA blog posts to LinkedIn (Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest too). I create my own image and use pretty links, write a little blurb about what to expect and hit share.
Hope this helps you.
Blessings
Louise

Hi
I'm not sure about LinkedIn rules regarding posting
It is okay to post members blogs but it would be best to use pretty links to do so Here's a tutorial to help you with pretty links

Can I post my WA Blog Posts to my Social Media platforms?

Yes, you can! Unfortunately, some members have overshared in the past, so places like Pinterest may not allow direct links to WA in the past, but many social media sites are fine to share your blog post or affiliate link.

Hi Jonathan, You have some interesting answers below.

Wilson

I share my posts on Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter primarily. Just drop your link. If you have a YouTube Channel you can put a link and description under "Discussions" Tab. All the Best.

Yes, you can. If you are talking about sharing them just copy the link in the address bar or copy the affiliate link at the top of the blog post and paste your link on your social media accounts and write something about it. If you are talking about posting your blog posts directly than just copy and paste the entire blog post to your social media accounts. But sharing them I like just discussed above is much quicker and easier. People will be able to click on your link and be taken straight to your blog post. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any other help or if you have any other questions. Take care Prosperjb!

When I write a Blog Post here at WA - can I share the post to my social media platforms?

Hey Jonathan,

Seems you've already received enough "yes" that you don't need that from me to confirm that you can. But, what I can share with you is this tutorial: in hopes that it will help you even more.

Hope this helps you.

Absolutely Jonathan! I'll add that when sharing your own content from WA, you do not need to add your affiliate link. It's automatically tied to your affiliate link regardless (since you published it), so you can share the regular link and still get credit for any referrals.

Great answers from everyone. I learned this from you! Thanks!

Yes, Kyle even provides affiliate links with every post and training here.

Just click the link button, and the link will be embedded with your affiliate ID.

You can share your posts, as well as posts written by others.

Yes you absolutely can. Just use the affiliate tab to share.
