Find a profitable niche!

I'm sure I'm not the only person to ask this question... "How in the world do I get ideas for my initial niche?"

I've wasted countless hours up to this point trying to analyze and figure out what could be profitable (and retain my interest at least until I get to the point where I can use the money to outsource additional content).

What I've finally come up with can be done in a matter moments and give me at least 21 ideas to jump off from.

Create a mind map and list out: 7 passions, 7 fears, and 7 problems.

From that list, select 10 potential ideas and start your keyword research.

*bonus tip for 7 more ideas: add 7 things you would like to learn. If you select one of these, document your learning process a part of your website. This can be huge if you want to get your readers to connect with you.

Great information, thank you for sharing.

You're welcome! Anything to help people improve their process.

I write a post first, then search for appropriate low comp keywords or phrases

That's awesome gordi, I've tried that but sometimes my brain doesn't want to fire on all cylinders. This allows me to move forward and maybe continue to brainstorm based on ideas from the keywords.

Truth be told, my process is always changing (as it should be because we are always bettering ourselves) and this is one that is working for me in the moment.

Best of luck in pursuing your dreams!

That's a good point too, Prophesied. You can get ideas for posts from keywords as well.
