Yes. There's a arrow beside the comment that you posted. Click it and you will see the words: edit or delete

Nope you cannot delete a message that's already sent, however you may delete or edit something that you posted.
Bear in mind, comment/s you deleted even after editing will still show in their notification.
In actual fact you may have erased it, however it will still be seen.

At the top of my dashboard it said there was an update. When I hit it I didn't go anywhere to update whatever needed updating. I was not able to update what ever needed to be
