The Power of Habit Changes
As a woman, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to balance life's demands. Between work, family, and social obligations, it's easy to feel like you're constantly falling short. But what if I told you there's a way to take control of your life and find balance? It's as simple as making a few habit changes. Trust me, I've tried it, and it works wonders!
For me, the reward of making these habit changes is spending more time outside with my toddler and working towards obtaining an iPad using my Coin app (I gain coins with every step), but the little things make all the difference. So, if you're feeling overwhelmed and unfulfilled, here are some strategies that have helped me:
Start Small
Trying to overhaul your life overnight is unrealistic. Instead, choose one or two habits you want to change and focus on those. For me, it was spending more time outside and reading more. I committed to 30 minutes of outdoor activity and two chapters of a book daily. These small changes made a big difference in my daily life.
Find Accountability
It's essential to have support when making habit changes. Having a friend who is also trying to make habit changes has been helpful. We check in with each other regularly and offer support and encouragement. I've also found it beneficial to use apps that track my progress and remind me to stay on track.
Make it Fun
Habit changes can be tedious, so find ways to make them enjoyable. For example, I collect coins on my Coin app during daily walks and sing and dance with my toddler. These minor adjustments make the habit changes more enjoyable.
Focus on the benefits
Instead of focusing on what you're giving up, think about the benefits. For example, walking means getting fresh air and Vitamin D, which are vital for my health. Walking also brings me one step closer to the iPad I want. In addition, when I work without distractions, I can get tasks done more quickly, freeing up more time for other things.
Lastly, celebrate your successes. Acknowledge and celebrate milestones and accomplishments. For example, my toddler knowing it is time for our daily walk, is my celebration of success! This means she is learning a positive habit!
Making habit changes takes effort, but the rewards are worth it. With these strategies, you can take control of your life and find balance.
Start small, find accountability, make it fun, focus on the benefits, and celebrate your successes!
Then, you can achieve anything you set your mind to!

Very well said, Priscilla!

Thank you! I’ve realized the smallest habit changes can make the biggest impacts. For instance, changing the content that I was consuming. Instead of TV, I read a self-help book.
You are so right about that, my friend! I write my books a lot of times.

I am working on a few things right now. I want to write a YA book loosely based on my past traumatic experiences. I plan to use that as a creative processing outlet. Cheaper than therapy! LoL
And potentially more profitable too!
