I have used the new Site Content Platform. I like that it checks for duplicate content and like the way it organizes everything.

I don't see why not. You can copy and past previous articles into Site Content documents, add some H1, H2, or H3 formatting to your headers and archive them in buckets. Even save them as templates if you like.
