I do my research the day before, save any links I'm referencing, get any images sorted out, this will take about 2 hrs.

I'm at my best mid morning so that's when I start. It will take 3 to 5 hrs to write a 1000 to 1500 word post. Obviously shorter ones take less time.

If I try and write in the evening it doesn't work, I can research then but not write.

It took me longer when I first started, till I found out what worked for me. I'm hoping to get faster as I progress!

The thing that helped me the most was doing the research and images first.

Mine vary. I did one recently that took about half a day but I am not really bothered if it takes a while as long as I am happy with it. I then read it and altered things, so all in all it took me longer than half a day. I don't think it matters how long it takes and everybody will have their own speed. I am not the best typist so it will take me longer than somebody faster. As long as you like what you see, that's the main thing. Good luck. Wendy.

Speed will come with time, but I would stay with what is working for you. The key is quality content and building a site you are happy with.

Cheers everyone, this is helpful! I tend to think that everything I do I need to do better, faster, more etc., like many of us, and reading these reactions does help. You should always push yourself, but within the boundaries of kindness I suppose :-)

I just did a revision on one of my Post.It was aleady written, It only took 3 hours .I will give you my opinion and others will have their own opinion. I think it will vary from person to person. It depends on many factors: the subject, the theme, how short or how long. If you include pictures or video's. I would rather do 1 post well, than do 5 half-way. Your content is YOU! It is your signature. It will become your brand. What matters most is the content, not how long it takes you to wite it. That is what will rank in google. Here is my best advice to you? Do it until YOU are satisfied with it-no matter how long it takes.

It will take me a couple days at times. Not just writing the article but from starting the article, researching the keywords, looking for images, post the article, adjusting the post and what ever else I think of. in my personal opinion writing the actual article is the easy part.

I don't think there is a rule - I am sure in time you can learn to cut corners and be prepared in advance. Develop your own writing style. It is important not to rush things - your content will only suffer. Good luck!
