Over the last 4 weeks I have been keeping an eye on my keywords and using Jaaxy to see how well, or how bad, each one is doing. I have made an excel spreadsheet to record my findings.
My first success with this was on the 31st of December 15; since then I have carried on with Jaaxy almost every day to check things, learn other techniques (alphabet soup for example) and learn what doesn't work too.
On 31st of December my first No1 position on the first page of Google made me smile so much.

Now, I have just been through my regular keyword checks on Jaaxy and again realise how important it is to know what your site is doing - I know have 12 keywords that are within the first 6 on page 1, and many many more on the first 4 pages.
At the time I was learning about low hanging fruit, it didn't make a whole lot of sense, but as my learning has been added to, this is becoming apparent - low hanging fruit is important!
And, it gives me a much needed boost on the days I am finding it difficult to write content.
