It requires us to recognize every person on this planet as part of one global family, to stand fearlessly against the cold biases of systemic injustice, and to actively lift up those who are vulnerable.
Who holds how we do that?
Through the lens of philosophy, particularly the Stoic and humanist traditions, the answer is quite clear: Ultimately, we hold how it is done.
While thinkers and leaders throughout history have mapped out the framework, each generation of individuals holds the responsibility of putting it into practice. Coherence, integrity and the courage to stand against systemic bias are maintained only when individuals refuse to renounce or step down from their moral agency.
