New week and getting everything organized

Hi!

It's been a week since I last update this blog. The week started out quite hard and I had some problems about how to organize everything on my sites.

But, it has ended very well I think and now that the "hard" part is over I feel I can focus on content creation much more.

So, what have I done?

Mindmap

I started created mindmaps about just everything that is related to my sites.

The first mindmap was about the sites itself. I asked questions like:

whats the purpose of this site?
Why do you want to visit this site?
How to become an authority site?
Who will visit this site?
How will I make money with it
keywords
etc....

When that was done I created mindmaps about articles and brands.

A great thing I discovered when making mindmap for an article was that I had no problem creating a 1700 words article! Before using mindmaps I some problem reaching 1000 words. Using a mindmap takes a little more of work before starting to write the article but when you start the actual "writing" it goes very fast and smooth. At least for me.

I know that it's not the number of words that is the most important factor, it's the quality. But, in my opinion, the article I wrote now with about 1700 word is the best article I have ever wrote. It's full of info and much less of "nonsense" talk.

Affiliate program

I still have some problem finding affiliate program to join in one of the niche, yacht charter. I have sent out emails to a couple of companies asking about if they have any. Unfortunately, just 1 out of 5 answered and that company did not have any.

The reason why I am looking for a new affiliate program is that I'm not 100% sure if the company I promote is serious. The reason for that is that I cant find any types of "tracking" on their site. It will just say if I got a sale. I do know that people are visiting their site from mine.

Maybe I'm just a little paranoid, the company is very popular among customer and has been around for many years.

The excitement

I have been a member now for more than a month and I still feel very excited about just everything. I know I have to "socialize" a lot more but I think am getting better and better on that too.

The hardest part is to not thinking about my sites when I'm doing my ordinary work at the company I work for.

I work as an application technician witch mean a do a lot of programming and reverse engineering. Great thing about that, except that its quite fun, is that people, include my boss, leave me alone because they don't know so much about coding :-) That means, I got all the freedom I want when I'm at work and sometimes it happens I follow what happens at Wealthy Affiliate instead of doing actual work... I'm a bad boy!

Finally, my goal for next week is to create 4 new quality articles and at the same time edit some of the old ones. So, I better get started right away!
