Hi everyone. I am sooooo enjoying being opart of the WA community.

I've finally found a home on the internet that is clearly heading in the right direction.

I just wanted to share my response to a blog post I found on Traffic Generation.com entitled'Empower Network Review: Why I gave Empower Network Two Thumbs Down'

It really touched a nerve with me and made me realise how so many people can be taken for a ride with the plethora of 'online oppurtunities out there.

Here is my response :

"What a fantastic post Ana! It just goes to show how 'wolves in sheeps clothing' can totally fool so many. Blogging, affiliate marketing and all sorts of internet marketing needs to be transparent and provide value. Why bite the hand that feeds you to make a quick buck and rip people off!? The internet is a wonderful thing but there is no magic bullet. If you want to have an online business then you must treat it as a business and have an ethical model that your customers and clients can recognise and respect and trust and in which you can be assured of your own contribution and self-respect of providing real value to the marketplace. People aren't stupid - they will soon recognize the con-artist. Why not pour all of your energy into doing something authentic and helping others and becoming a trustworthy authority in your niche and getting people on board first before you even a put in a few subtle affiliate links or try to make the big sales pitch?

If you don't get rich quick then that it can be bitterly disappointing for some people. Mainly because they've been sold some false hope about some scam or 'auto-pilot income stream' which comes from a 'dime-sale' information product, membership or training that can be provided by some 'Guru'. The whole thing is a spiral of self-perpetuating product creation, product launches, sales funnels, upsells , membership subscriptions, guru networks, back-slapping conventions and webinars and more...

Honesty and integrity is sorely lacking from so many corners of the IM industry.

I now believe that I only want to be involved in a sector of the IM industry that really puts visitors first, provides real honest value, be totally transparent and create an authentic business that my visitors will enjoy the user experience and share with others and return time and time again. I want them to be loyal customers and have a genuine relationship with them.

I certainly have a long way to go before I can achieve that object, but I am determined to work hard to do the best I can and learn from like-minded members at http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com which has completely altered my mindset about internet marketing. I highly recommend this community and stress that I have not included any affiliate link in this comment. I really just want to point people in the direction of a truly worthwhile resource that I have finally found after over 2 years of some dismal failures and scams online.

If you are serious about running an online business, listen to the great advice from Ana and others here on Traffic Generation Cafe and step back and examine what you are really doing and why?"
