Plain Sailing
Today we have one calm fine sunny day here in Sydney as we get a reprieve from the cold brought in by the Antarctic Vortex which will be back again tomorrow. No not half as bad as you people in the northern hemisphere had, our winters are soft. It's still cold for us though.
Anyway, I decided I better go down and see if my boat is still floating and air it out a bit after all the cold and wet weather. She was quite happy swinging on her mooring still and aside from a few bits of maintenance which I did in under an hour, she was ready for a little sail.
It got me to thinking, while I enjoyed the sun on my back, that like the boat which needs constant attention, our WA businesses constantly need our attention too.
If we leave them for too long the parts start ceasing up and corrosion of our site quality in Google,search engine and customers eyes starts very quickly.
Like the boat it needs to be tested, checked, tweaked and tested again. It is not a case of fire and forget. Instead we need to pay attention to what works and what doesn't. Then we need to stop doing what doesn't work and make sure we find out all about what does work an how we can harness it.
So, plain sailing? Yes, once the you have paid due attention to how your site performs best, it can indeed be plain sailing.

Your absolutely right ... like a boat our internet business needs constant tweeting to get the best performance out of our sails ... :0) ... thank you for the reminder ... I love boating .. for the moment can't really afford it in the part of the world that I'm in ... never the less I will get back to it some day ... Michel
