My return from the eCommerce Industry with goodies !

Hi Guys here I am back at WA after having moved into the eCommerce world of Shopify, Oberlo, Facebook Ads, and all the necessary software, tricks and tips and loads of YouTube Video watching. It is another world away from Wealthy Affiliate though I am looking to educate my fellow entrepreneurs in the idiosychrosies of eCommerce Marketing. The basic requirements are similar though the procedures, details and knowledge requirements for success are far removed from WA marketing.

The major attraction is the massive hype that has followed the explosion of eCommerce stores being built at breakneck speed. Shopify has upwards of 500,000 stores and growing daily. Many NEW GURU's are being born (created) weekly? and purporting to gain incomes of $1,000 per week within a trice. Some of the hype that is being thrown around blares out making $100,000's within weeks that seems to throw the IM industry into panic.

I have followed many different platforms to pick up the best ideas and strategies becoming successful with online stores. There and hundreds or possibly thousands of tutorial videos for Shopify, Woo Commerce, Etsy and eBay and the concept is growing exponentially. The basic premise of having a product to sell and finding a market to sell to is exactly the same as IM but the methods employed and the tools available are far superior to the IM Industry.

The idea of building email lists is still a good grounding for a business in IM but the chore of getting traffic and converting the prospects to buyers is far easier with the advent of Social Media Platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram to name the main competitors and forming a strategy to ensure you get good results is far more sophisticated now than SEO, keywords, domain names and all the other tips and tricks we use. Now the work is left to software and all the graft is done by the metrics they use to inform the fledgling eCommerce GURUs.

For example the products are selected from massive warehouse suppliers who online catalogues cover all aspects of the products to give the buyers a plethora of information and the entrepreneurial purchaser complete knowledge of the selling potential such as best sellers, past sale figures, customer reviews. Thereby highlighting the likelihood of a sale of a particular product. There is now software available that identifies all the top sellers, the most popular products, the biggest trending products making the selection of an item for sale a lot easier and adding confidence to the seller.

On the marketing side the main contributor is Facebook as the metrics that can be employed can be as many as 40 different aspects ranging from gender, ages, likes, hobbies, insights, conversions, audiences and lookalikes. All of these parameters are collected by Facebook when issuing test Ads to gather useful information that then become the basic of micro targeted ads being sent to prospective buyers who show from previous Facebook engagement they are more than likely to buy a specific product based on the results of the marketing strategy. This far more sophisticated than sending out emails to a bunch of people that we have no knowledge of.

The main reason for this article is to point out the other opportunities that now exist outside of the IM industry.

I mentioned earlier that email marketing is 'old hat' however it comes into its own when combined with Facebook marketing in eCommerce as it opens up a massive untapped market having made sales and collected emails or having engagement with a prospective buyer and collected their emails. This give a massive boost to future sales from re-targeting and there are no added advertising costs. This is why even only having one or two successful products the sales volume can explode. There are some eCommerce specialists with sales reaching into multi millions in very short time spans.

This phenomenon is due to the massive potential of viral Social Media coverage.

Thank you for all the information.
Have a great weekend

Oh hi, this is useful knowledge - I really like facebook and have known of people who have made a great living wth network marketing through Facebook and other social media.

However, I've decided to get my head down and go through the oourse outline as I've always wanted to build a website and learn the conventional methods of email marketing to a T,

I was the proverbial go after the shiny button person - so I know quite a bit about most things re internet marketing, the legal stuff, that is. I feel that WA is helping tie everything together to make a good Internet Marketing Cake.

Once I get the basics from here, the sky will be the limit...

I shall keep a sharp look out for eCommerce once I'm done with making about 5 stable websites.

Thanks for letting us in on it though!

Shopify is another opportunistic flavor from Amazon!
