Mother of Mercy
Kuan Yin, known as the Mother of Mercy in the East has been worshipped by Buddhists all around the world. She is the greatest of bodhisattvas and embodies the totality of compassion for humankind. She is the deity of compassion.
In Buddhism gods are transient higher beings who are still subject to reincarnation, they are not absolute power deities or creators, as in the western use of the term God. Kwan Yin is a rebirth of the bodhisattva Avolikiteshvara, a monk who was reborn in a heavenly realm and filled with compassion for all living beings. One legend states that Avolikiteshvara chose to be reborn as a beautiful woman to marry a renowned king and convince him to become a Buddhist.
Each year there are three celebrations dedicated to Kuan Yin Bodhisattva among the Chinese Buddhists:
Kuan Yin The Bodhisattva's Birthday: 19th of the second lunar month.
Kuan Yin The Bodhisattva's Enlightenment Day: 19th of the sixth lunar month.
Kuan Yin The Bodhisattva's Leaving Home Day: 19th of the ninth lunar month.
As today was The Bodhisattva's Enlightenment Day, I went to pay respect to Kuan Yin at Wat Mangkon Kamalawat. The temple is previously and still commonly known as Wat Leng Noei Yi. It is the largest and most important Chinese Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand. It is located in the district of Pom Prap Sattru Phai in the city's Chinatown, in a courtyard off Charoen Krung Road, accessed by an alleyway. Around the temple there are shrines dedicated to a variety of Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian deities and religious figures, all important in local Chinese beliefs.
In order to achieve the spiritual connection with Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva, I recited the mantra Kuan Yin Pusa with a concentrated mind. The true purpose of commemorating the Bodhisattva is to follow the spirit of practicing, "Great compassion to all beings as one unit. Kindness to all beings without discrimination". I truly believe that our world will be much better place if everyone follow the mother of Mercy.

She is known in the western world or to spiritual people (like myself) who are not belong to a specific religious denomination as one of the "Ascended Masters".
I love the energy when channeled and we only can wish that the time isn't far away anymore when Love, Compassion, Mercy and all the positive emotions and energy will be the one everyone is following.
