MIA for a needed break!

But, now I am back - sort of. still have the ocean air and the joy of watching the kids play in the sand and "hunting" in the tide pools for crabs and sea urchins drifting through my brain. I did not want to come home! (especially with all the fires that make breathing not so easy) But... here we are, few days to rest and now time to get back to it.
Hope everyone is enjoying your summer and not just killing yourselves to get work work work done. Your families will thank you for taking time to enjoy them!

it was incredible!!! I want to go back next week LOL. my father in law has a house not far from there so its an easy and inexpensive trip to take..... and watching all three of the kids playing without fighting is the greatest!!!!
and its super smoky here - like painful so we might go to get out of the smoke again. its so thick you have to chew it before you can breathe (no joke) - headaches and sore throats - great excuse to beach for a few days... haha...
I don't mean to be nosey, but why all the smoke?
We are in California - the Carr fire has burned about 90,000 acres up North by Redding and there is another fire or two - the air has been thick... super thick for a month!
Oh my goodness! I should have known that was the smoke. What was a thinking? I hope you are all safe and your home isn't touched by the fire. Stay safe, my friend.

we are. the fire is a couple hours drive North from us but the smoke settles here no matter where the fire is - The Rim fire a few years ago was the closest to my home of any recent fire, but still.... horrible smoke. headaches and sore throats - my house smells like a camp fire! and the boys get nauseous - super un-fun!
