Mom, look back here!

It is inevitable. Every time I get in the car to go somewhere a child in the back seat starts the "look mom" thing. Every time that happens my reply is I can't keep looking back, I have to keep my focus on the road ahead.... on where I am driving. The other day my son was relentless as if I could watch him and drive forward at the same time...... of course that got me thinking....

It got me thinking of a lot of things, but the idea of looking back when we are moving forward, be it driving, walking or life in general. How often do we look back at past mistakes or business blunders or.... whatever?!?

At this point, 3 months in, I have no advice or training or expertise to give - I have yet to earn even a penny but I have this to say: whatever you have experienced in the past that led to failure, business or not, leave it behind and do not let it cloud your vision to fully give yourself to what you are doing NOW.

When we look back, like in the car for example, as my son kept begging me to look back at him, I had to remind him that if I look back I run the risk of wrecking (we live in the mountains, mostly twisty/turny roads).... it's the same with everything. Leave it behind and don't look back or you run the risk of wrecking over your past and ruining whatever is ahead of you or at best delaying your progress.

struck gold, finally!

I have found one thing here at WA (OK, well I have found many) but I have found what feels like a gold mine... A fresh start.... something real. A solid community in which the business failures of the past do not have to hold anyone back......

My advice, or "training" is simply to find the discipline to keep looking (and moving) forward. Take advantage of the training here and don't look back. Set your mind, dig your heels in and get the work done - one...step...at...a....time..... and don't look back, it will cause you to trip. It does not matter if you fell for a scam and spent thousands or if you nearly did that, or whatever..... Treat this place as if you have never failed, like ever and keep your mind open to learn what is here to learn..... be disciplined even if you only have 15 minutes a day to give and you know it will take longer to accomplish your goal.
