There is always an excitement at the start of a new journey. Starting out there should always be a plan, but I forgot to plan for the unexpected. I know what my goals are and where I hope this path leads me. The outlook on my future looks wonderful and although I am uncertain of what awaits me at the end of my journey here at Wealthy Affiliate. I am hopeful that I will reach completion, accomplishment and success. More importantly I am eager to find a start to a new beginning. The next level where I can implement everything I have learned and make things happen for myself. In the beginning everything runs on schedule. I thought of everything except the unintended distractions.

My journey here at Wealthy Affiliate has been a great one so far and I am absolutely happy, curious, motivated and inspired.

Caught In The Rain

After completion of training module 1, I got very sick. Due to the torrential downpour that happens only a few times a year in California. They say it never rains it hardly ever rain. It has been 5 months since the last rain that I can remember. I love the rain. I welcome it, I love the sound of the rain against the window pane its soothing to me. Grateful and overjoyed to see the rain had started during Thanksgiving week but my many errands caused me to get caught in the rain. There was so much to do and I tried to stay dry but I got wet. One week later and im sick. I felt like my body were fighting the flu. My body experienced chills, fever, sniffles and body aches. The first day of sickness I logged onto WA and was able to get in a training and interact on the platform. I wasn't well but I pushed through.

School Recitals and Xmas Shopping

Barely getting over that terrible cold my next distraction from WA arrives. Christmas shopping and school recitals. This is the last week of school and the school is having 2 recitals for the kids. One recital is for grades k-3rd and the Second recital is for grades 4-6. I just happen to have a 3rd grader and a 6th grader. I am to help the kids prepare for 2 recitals.

The day starts and I start my day off drop the kids off at school. Facing the daunting task of Christmas shopping while the kids are at school, trying to get everything on my list. My daughters 4,8 and 12 and my son 16 were specific what they want for Christmas. I'm thankful my 18 year old daughter is simple, give her cash and she gets what she likes.

As I drop the kids off at school my daughter says "Remember I need a dress for my Christmas recital". I add it to my list.

For 3 days I found myself in malls and department stores at times stressed out because I have my 4-year old with me. Kennedy has different plans. She would like my shopping trip to be all about her. Dealing with a 4-year old whose demanding, Christmas shopping and dress shopping is a bit much and could drive you crazy. When I get home after a long day Grateful and too tired to login to WA. I didn't even check my email. I just fed the kids, helped with homework, prepared uniforms for the next day and went to bed. Another day distracted, but constantly thinking about my training.

Wake up to do it all over again. This is the day of the recital and I finished Christmas shopping. Both of my daughters perform and there is only one more day of school before Christmas break. In the back of my mind I hear Wealthy Affiliate calling me.

Happy Birthday Rayne

Today is the last day of school and my daughters birthday, yay! Happy 12th birthday Rayne. After dropping my girls off to school I have to shop for my daughters birthday. The kids have a half day of school and I have to cram shopping into 4 hours so I won't be late getting the kids from school. I finish shopping, pick up the kids and now its back home to change clothes so we can go out to dinner. This birthday night is filled with family, food and a good atmosphere. We are all relaxed and enjoying our meals. Everyone is happy especially the birthday girl.

Homeward bound we are on our way. Once home the children settle in and I finally have sometime to myself but too tired to login. I start to count the days since I have been logged out. How far could I have gotten by now if I wasn't distracted? The good thing is WA is still as much something interested in and filled with joy that I can carry on. No matter what I were doing the platform was in the back of my mind. I had to find my way back.

IM BACK

I realize that there are many things that we can plan for, but we never plan for the inevitable and that's life. Things happen and somethings we complete those temporary distractions and then the ripple effect comes. Here comes something else. Life they say is what happens while we are making plans. I had a plan of no matter what giving WA at least 2 hours minimum of my undivided attention, it didn't happen that way. I had to complete and pass all the tasks that I had to complete to get back to WA. The most important thing was that I found my way back! We stay committed and nothing can stand in our way. We'll always find our way back.

Hello Pinkie, thanks for sharing your journey.
I hope you are feeling better today.
Life gets in the way of all of us at some time and we sometimes just have to take a step back and regroup.
I know this happens for me and sometimes a good rest or just doing something else I enjoy can make a huge difference.
Plenty here will understand what you are going through.
All the best and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Darren :)

No worries--small steps, Pinkie! Especially this time of year is difficult for most people to stay on task at WA! Just continue to do the best you can--it's work at your own pace here! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
